Puppies: Start allowing puppies access to AvoDerm® Triple Protein Meal Formula dog food about 3 weeks before weaning. The food can be moistened to help consumption, after weaning feed the puppy 3 - 4 times per day for the first 2 months, and then from 2 - 3 times per day until reaching Adult size, and then 1 - 2 times per day. Expect to feed 1 1/2 - 2 times the Adult feeding recommendation during the puppy's growing phase. Adjust the daily amount fed so the puppy maintains a good body condition.

Pregnant Females: During pregnancy increase the feeding amount during the last 1/3 of pregnancy to 1 1/2 times the amount recommended as shown for the Adult. Avoid excessive overfeeding, maintaining a good body condition, while preparing for whelp and nursing.

Lactating Females: A nursing female can expect to need 2 - 3 times as much food as recommended in the Adult feeding guideline. Adjust the extra food given by the number of puppies and length of nursing. Try to maintain a good body condition, however with large numbers of puppies expect to have some loss in body fat for milk production.

kibble is too large and hard

    By on

Papi don’t have many teeth to eat this so he struggles. So I have no choice but to go back to something maybe not as satisfied for them but I can make sure it’s small breed. Some dog food not labeled small breed is sometimes still small enough for my little ones to get their teeth around especially Papi but this isn’t one and I don’t want Papi to have to go without. It’s not his fault that his last owners didn’t take care of his teeth but I struggle to get him quality food at small bites!

    Soft stools

I switched to this food to try to improve my dogs coat. I blended his old food, a salmon and sweet potato recipe for 2 weeks. I’m hoping things improve.

    Love this dog food

Having a 4 yr old Goldendoodle and a 5mth old Pittie they both enjoy this food. I leave the food in an auto feeder and they never over eat. Firm and less poop to clean.

My dog is so picky , I thought for sure she would not eat a dry kibble but she loves it. SHe won’t eat when it’s warm but once it cools in the evening she eats the entire bowl

Going back to my old favorite

    By on

I had been feeding Avoderm for years for my chows. I had a dog with many problems and was seeing a naturalpath vet for him and switched to grain free. Now that the dog has passsed, my regular vet says to avoid the grain free and return to Avoderm. My one boy had started chewing and itching so I am hoping that this will abate it. Otherwise its onto allergy testing

My 4 dogs never looked better

    By on

I have 4 dogs ranging in age from 14 months to 11 years. No longer do I need to keep a food for the dog with the sensitive tummy, or for the one who occasionally has skin problems. They all love AvoDerm. Weights have stabilized, appetites are great, stools as good as when I was feeding expensive raw foods. The girls and I couldn’t be happier.

Our dogs LOVE Avoderm Triple Protein

    By on

We have an 11-year-old, retired racing greyhound, who acts as though she is 2-years-old. We know the reason is the Avoderm Triple Protein dog food we feed her. She has been eating it for about 5 years now, but in the last few months have had trouble finding it at our usual pet food store. Chewy now only carries it, but the price is less than what we had been paying.

    Dogs won't eat it!

    By on

My dogs are not picky eaters but when I thought to try this food, they both will not eat it. I've resorted to mixing their food with another just so this food isn't wasted.

    Wouldn't recommend

    By on

My dog absolutely refuses to eat this dog food. I've mixed in freshly cooked chicken to help entice her to eat it. She simply picks out the chicken and leaves the dog food behind. She's not a finicky eater either. It's been four days now and I still can't get her to eat one morsel of this dog food.
