Puppies: Start allowing puppies access to AvoDerm® Triple Protein Meal Formula dog food about 3 weeks before weaning. The food can be moistened to help consumption, after weaning feed the puppy 3 - 4 times per day for the first 2 months, and then from 2 - 3 times per day until reaching Adult size, and then 1 - 2 times per day. Expect to feed 1 1/2 - 2 times the Adult feeding recommendation during the puppy's growing phase. Adjust the daily amount fed so the puppy maintains a good body condition.

Pregnant Females: During pregnancy increase the feeding amount during the last 1/3 of pregnancy to 1 1/2 times the amount recommended as shown for the Adult. Avoid excessive overfeeding, maintaining a good body condition, while preparing for whelp and nursing.

Lactating Females: A nursing female can expect to need 2 - 3 times as much food as recommended in the Adult feeding guideline. Adjust the extra food given by the number of puppies and length of nursing. Try to maintain a good body condition, however with large numbers of puppies expect to have some loss in body fat for milk production.

Transition Instructions

Day 1 & 2: Feed 20% new food and 80% of the old brand.

Day 3 & 4: Feed 50% new food and 50% of your pet’s old brand.

Day 5: Feed 80% new food and 20% of the old brand.

Day 6: Feed 100% new food from now on.

Are any of the ingredients from China or Thialand?

This food is made in the USA. AvoDerm sources their main ingredients from North American suppliers with the exception of duck from France, tapioca powder from Thailand, lamb from New Zealand and quinoa from Peru. They purchase all vitamin mix from reputable domestic suppliers who source vitamins globally and then test them domestically before selling them.

What’s not to like?

Some people say avocado is not good for dogs, but this food is proof that that is not true. My dog loves it, it’s good for his coat and his general well-being. He’s a happy boy!

Not a big hit with our Puggle

I normally order the chicken versions of this brand and our dog attacks it with gusto. He is a very non picky eater but he eats this reluctantly. Will go back to the chicken version.
