Cumbersome to put on

Just got these today, so I will update my review after a few weeks. My 37 pound mutt according to the size chart was between a small and a medium. The helpful Chewey customer service rep recommended I go with the medium, and she was right. The medium is smaller than I expected. It fits, but it is really cumbersome trying to get these boots on my dog, and he just patiently stands there, so he’s not the problem. I wish these companies that make dog boots would post videos showing how to put the boots on. In order to get his paw into the boot, I have to have the straps completely open. That’s the easy part. But then to close the straps, you have to fit them through a small plastic slit which is very tricky to do especially since the Velcro parts always want to stick before you need them to. And they need to be pulled tight, otherwise the boot will slide down. He was able to walk in the boot, albeit funnily. So far, I’ve only put one boot on him. Exhausting! Really can’t imagine getting all 4 on in a reasonable amount of time. Like I said, I will update this after a few weeks of practice.

The best!!

I have a service dog that does not love the chaos of the airport (he’s trained, does his job, and fine but I know he doesn’t love it) these shoes are SO HELPFUL. First - I’ve purchased seriously probably 50 pairs of shoes for him and these are my all time fav. They don’t slide down like a lot of these do. I have a huge problem with shoes snagging his dewclaw but these do not at all. Second, they are almost more like socks with grip, they aren’t heavy duty so Trooper walks a lot better in them and the are easier for me to put on and off because of this. Lastly, they fit to size. Which I can’t say about the majority of dog shoes. If your dog wears an XL in almost everything else, get the XL!

A shoe that fits!

I have a Boerboel named Samson. He is a big boy(150lb). There is never a bootie that fits his enormous foot. This one does! Simple two straps of velcro that keeps the bootie on. Grip bottom pad for the dog to be able to walk or run. I would only say don't leave your dog unattended with these on their feet because any dog can and will chew the velcro off. Other that that not bad. I do have to say it keeps water inside the bootie ( rubber out side over the toes) so put socks on your pups feet or else the moisture will harm their feet.

Great product!!

I bought these for my mini Aussiedoodle. It took a little bit to get used to them but they have lasted all through winter (deep snow) and into our rainy season. He's wore them out! I do need to get him a new pair.

Not the best

They’re good for short WALKS and flat ground. They started to peel at the tip of the shoes about a week or 2 after buying. My pitbull does like to run and play/walk in rocks so they started to peel and have small punctures on the sole.

Nice concept. Needs a little more improvement.

I like these boots. I put them to an unusual challenge by using only one boot on the front paw of my 70 pound newly tripawed dog (front leg). He is getting used to the new routine of only having one front leg, so I wanted to protect that paw while he learns. Unfortunately, I could not keep the boot tight, and it caused more problems than it solved. It did give him better traction on slick surfaces as long as it was tight, and I also think it adds the desired protection. It is just that when it loosens, it causes him to stumble. I tried adding an additional velcro strip, but it did not work out. I felt that the price warranted giving it a try. They may work out better on a 4 paw dog. I think they need a bit of improvement though.

Pretty Good!

I really love these boots, as a person who lives in Colorado 4 to 6 months of the year is very volatile and temperature. I would have given this full stars but the straps fall apart pretty quickly. The actual boot itself is very high quality, I wish they would get better straps to anchor them onto the pups a little bit better. These will fly off if I don't continually reapply the straps. The fluorescent strip on the straps falls apart, then because of the cheaper type of material it's like you overstretch the velcro trying to get it tighter and it loses its grip. Good boots, I wish they would work on the straps so that they don't slip off the pups paws.

Too many buckles

Unsatisfactory To think your dog is going to sit still long enough for you to attach these booties to their feet is presumptuous. Whoever engineered these did not spend much time with active dogs. However they do look good in the photograph. Future purchasers....You have been warned.

Great purchase!

Very happy with this purchase! I bought these booties for my 41 pound mini Bernedoodle. She injured her back paw and these booties offer the best protection. I purchased the medium size, because she has thick poodle like fur and the fit was perfect. They are easy to put on and take off. She's been wearing it for two weeks on our outdoor 20 minute walks and it is holding up great and stays on fine. I even washed it in the washer. No issues, other than the metallic strip came loose.

Perfect for salty and icy sidewalks

These boots make a huge difference for me and my pup. The rubber soles protect her paws from the salt and reduce her traction on ice so we're on equal footing which makes it easier for me to stay on my feet. She doesn't like wearing them in the house, but as soon as we get outside she returns to a normal gait. Tightening both straps on each boot keeps them on almost 100% of the time.
