How do you measure for this? From what point to what point? IE 54 x 58- is 54 the length of seat and 58 from top of back seat to top of front seat? Sure not clear

The standard seat cover measures 54 inches long and 58 inches wide and the X-Large cover measures 60 inches long and 64 inches wide. The length of the cover would be the length from headrest to floor, and the width would correspond to the across-seat measurement.
Is this machine washable?

This cover is machine washable. Wash on a gentle cycle. It is also easy to spot clean with a vacuum or lint roller.

best seat cover

I have tried several different seat covers and this has been the only one that’s held up without the seams tearing or the backing wearing off. I have a red heeler who likes to stand from the back seat with her front paws on the center console so there is alot of wear in that general area from her nails. I get to take her to work with me everyday so the seat cover gets put to the test. I have replaced it with the same seat cover probably 3/4 times over the last 2 years due to it getting worn. But I would reccommend this cover to everyone. I get the XL one because she rides in my f150 but it fits just fine in the car as well

Size up for any size suv

It’s great but I do wish I would have sized up for my small suv. When you tighten the straps it is it becomes slightly elevated from the seat.

BarksBar seat cover

The fact that this cover can be used (2) different ways, seat cover or seat cover hammock makes this item tops in my book. Sophie is still undecided. The hammock prevents her from sneaking up front. 5 stars.

Right price, bad choice

I don't think you should have to pay an arm and a leg for a protective seat cover, so I gave this a shot when it was on special for $20. I intended to use it on the rare occasion I take one of my cats to the vet, so very infrequent use. I tested it when I first got it and it worked great. Several months later I had to take one of my cats to the vet and by then the straps had dry rotted and were falling apart. So was the backing material, as others have stated leaving little black dots all over my cream colored back seat. Also have many others have said already the material is not waterproof, in fact it's barely water resistant. You would do almost as well using a standard blanket. Learn from my experience and don't waste your money. This is a bad, cheaply made product.

works well so far

My dog has a seat belt and a car seat but sometimes he likes to venture out of his car seat. There has been a few times where sudden stops have made him fall to the car floor even with his seat belt so this prevents him from falling. I can tell it made a huge difference with his nervousness in the car. He’s actually relaxed now and lays comfortable when I put this up. Also, it’s easy to put him!

Seat cover

This item has been good, my dog threw up and it worked well. However the straps to hold it around the headrest just deteriorated, so now it's worthless. If it wasn't for the straps breaking it would have gotten 5 stars.

Seat Cover

Just installed it so I cannot give it a 5 but it appears that it definitely is water resistant if not waterproof and that the clips and straps that secure the cover to the head rests are strong enough to withstand an 80 pound dog getting in and out of the back seat. Glad I bought the larger size. It overlaps the rear seat of my Outback keeping dog hair off the floor.

Lasted one month

At first this was a great cover and I enjoyed it. I took it off after it being in my car for about a month so that I could have some friends in the back seat of my car. I put it back on a day or two after and the straps for the buckles were broken in half; totally brittle to the touch. Unfortunately, I’m forced to buy a completely new cover.
