An Infusion device that delivers liquid substances that can be given under the skin (subcutaneously) or in the vein (intravenously) as prescribed by your veterinarian.
Subcutaneous fluids are a mainstay of veterinary therapy. Subcutaneous fluid administration is used for many disease conditions, including cases of mild vomiting and diarrhea or mild dehydration, or to support kidney function in animals with chronic kidney disease.
Baxter used to be the best in everything, but this Interlink is very bad. The fluid takes forever to come out, very cheaply made
(Using for subq Wringers with a cat.) This works but is not quite ideal. The tubing is softer than what I get at my vet. That's not a negative in itself but it doesn't spring back when the clamps moved. I have to squeeze open the line where the crimps are in order to make sure the line is as open as possible to get a good flow rate. It's not hard to do but somewhat delicate. It needs to be done quickly as the cat is being held with a needle stuck in them. It's the only 10 drops / ml option so I'll be getting more.
My Simon gets sub-q fluids 3x weekly for CKD. This brand of fluids is the same as what his vet uses at less than half the cost. I like the 500 ml bags better than the liter since I don’t want to use opened fluids more than 5 times
I like this product. I give my dog has CKD and gets daily subQ fluids. Each day requires a new needle. The line end (for the needle) has a lip-type cover, which I feel helps protect it from contamination during needle changes and storage.
I use this IV set to give fluids to my cat. It allows me to deliver the fluids more quickly than another brand I used. I have had no problems with leaking. I would recommend this.
Used for kidney failure. They work very well. Exactly what I ordered
I've been using these lines for a little over a year with fluids for my senior kitty. They work great. I've never had issues with leakage and they produce very few bubbles. Very pleased.
It leaked a whole bag of lactated ringer and caused water damage on the hardwood floor. Need to set the bag upside down to prevent leakage.
I brought two and both are leaking... I hope they can improve their quality of the products
Seems sturdy and well made, but the drip is rather small. I find a faster drip a lot more convenient when trying to administer subcutaneous fluids to my cat as this means less time trying to keep her from bolting away.
