Older Dog Perked Up!
By BoxerHoundOwner on Jul 22, 2020
I really love this dog food. I switched from Purina ProPlan after noticing my older boxer (6 years old) slowing down and seeming more lethargic than normal. After switching, she has more energy and her coat looks shinier. It helps a lot! Would definitely recommend!

I really like this dog food, but noticed tonight that at the bottom mold is all over the dog food.

Great food and great value.
By CrazyDogMom on Jun 6, 2019
The cost for the quality of this food and the bag size, is impressive. Most companies charge way more than this for half the bag size. I love that it has fruits and vegetables, as well as a lot of protein. I wish the company had more varieties of protein, they seem to only have chicken and pork. Anyway, this product is great and I will definitely keep using it in my rotational diet for my two labradors. They have been very very healthy on this food, no issues whatsoever. One of them is three years old and the other is 10 years old.

A review of the dog food
By DKobus on May 6, 2019
My dog's love this food and will not eat any other dog food for an extended time, 2-3 days and then they want Eli's Select. Its also one of the best rated dog foods on the market. One big key is that I dont think its ever had a recall unlike most suppossedly the best dog foods! I really wish people would read what a review is -- Rate this item = the product - not the shipping, not the handling, not the service. It means to rate the product!! I read a bad review that concerned the experation date -- thats not a review of the product rather than the service! Please provide a review of the product!!! Not everything else!

Dogs love it - solid choice
By Matt on May 23, 2019
We recently switched from Merrick to this after meeting a rep at a local show. We started with some free samples, and the dogs loved it. It gets great reviews, looks to have top end ingredients, is made in the USA, and their business is local to us. Don't know about long term yet, but for now, seems to be a very solid, high quality, and economical choice for a house of 4 dogs.

This food has excellent ingredients making it a very good value for the money. I like the fact it is a family run company and they make a product that is good for your dog.

First dog food my dog asked for seconds with!
By Nani on Jan 8, 2019
I'm just now switching over to Beaverdam after looking in on some reviews and doing a bit of research. I chose Eli's grain-free because you know how bulldogs are with their plethora of skin problems.. First a note about how Beaverdam presents their product- I absolutely LOVE their "we put the money IN the bag, not on it"! It really drives me nuts going through pet food aisles and knowing that other ((usually more expensive)) brands are best sellers mostly because the bags look pretty. Full of fillers and garbage your dogs don't need.. Back to the product at hand- I'm pretty weary about ordering any perishable items from online, because inventory and shipping can be a disaster. Pleasantly surprised to open a super fresh bag of kibbles! 5 months from expiring, which you'd think is short for dog food but that just means there's less filler and preservatives! It doesn't smell like much, but that's not an issue apparently, because my Girly dug her face right into the bowl and began chowing down! She wouldn't even do this with BluBuff. products and those smelled OVERWHELMINGLY like their flavoring. What surprised me more is she went back to the container I'd poured the kibbles into, and danced around until I gave her a second helping! The only reason I haven't given this product 5 stars, is I have to see if this helps her shedding, ear infections, or irritated feet any first. otherwise I'm VERY happy! … more

The best for less.

I have been feeding my dog the Eli's Select for years after I discovered Beaver Dam was a local dog food company recommended by our vet here in Wilmington DE. The quality is very high, rivaling Blue Buffalo and Wellness, but it's more fresh, comes in 40lb bags, and is much more affordable. I used to travel far and wide, buying it from a couple small places which were all over a half hour from my house. Friends that use Beaver Dam dog food because of our recommendation told us we could buy it on Chewy. This dog food is now the sole reason we have a Chewy account. Extremely happy with this company and the dog food. We have been recommending both Chewy and Beaver Dam to all of our friends.
