My standard poodle puppy is doing very well on this! I have Celiac disease and can't handle gluten, so I bought this food for him after doing a ton of research on what foods wouldn't get me sick and would be good for him. He's growing into such a smart strong boy thanks to this food, and neither of us have to handle gluten! Thank you Beaverdam, and thank you Chewy for carrying this product!
The quality of the food is great and my dogs really liked it, but the kibble is so small they swallow it so fast. If it were larger I would continue to buy it, but with 6 Large shepherds it doesn't work.
Our two high-energy English Springer Spaniels have been on Beaverdam high-energy food all their lives and are in great health. One is almost 12 and hasn't slowed down yet.
I don't know the reason but this food did not agree with my dog , she avoided eating it .
This is very good quality food.
Our pups have been raised on this food. It gives them all the proper nutrients required.
I have a 4 year old German Shepherd that is extremely picky with his food. I've tried a bunch of different dry food brands. I've tried all the tricks (mix with broth or some other stuff). The only thing he likes is raw chicken so I primarily give him that but still mix in some kibble but he tends to leave that behind if its not mixed in well enough. I was just searching through chewy one day and saw the bag...its just white with a sticker, I loved it. Checked petfoodadvisor and it had a great rating so figure I'd give it a shot. Did a taste test with 2 separate bowls, my dog left his normal kibble and ate all of the beaverdam kibble. So if you're in a similar situation, try a smaller bag and see how your dog reacts to it.
Bought a bag about a month ago and my fur-babies absolutely loves it! I see a huge change in their fur and the amount of energy they have. I am so happy I decided to give it a try, Eponine and Saxon thinks so too.
I bought this for our new puppy, but have been enjoying it myself. It pairs well with a dry zinfandel. I suggest it for your next dinner party.
I was researching dog foods lower in protein for an injured dog. Was impressed with the quality of ingredients using some different meat proteins in Beaverdam Dog Food. Bought a bag of Skippers Choice and my pickiest eater loved it. Just started using the puppy/adult high energy, hope not too much energy, that is higher calorie as my dogs got to thin on Skippers Choice, looked good though, just had to feed more food. Skin and coat look good on Beaverdam, so they got the formula right!
