My Shepherd was having urinary issues that vets couldn’t figure out. I was feeding her a prescription diet that I was getting here on Chewy, but it was hard to get the vets to refill the script when I needed it. I decided to try this food and it’s worked better than the prescription food and is much more affordable! She’s gained weight and her coat is nice and shiny! I feed her 3 cups spread out throughout the day and she gobbles it all up! No more urinary problems, or Gastrointestinal problems since she’s been on this food. I love that it has some joint support as well.
I have 3 dog's age range 11 - 14 years old, two of which have known health issues. One has a grade3 heart murmur and the other early stage kidney disease. I selected this food for it's lower sodium and protein content. So far everyone is satisfied with it, and had zero issues with the change over from one food to another. Realistically there is no "perfect" food that can offer something for everyone, but we seem to be good with this one for the 3 pack, at this time.
We have tried many different foods for our 70+ lb babies but continue to go back to this as they both love this food. They consistently will eat this and do not seem to tire of it. My husband told me to just start buying this all the time; I tend to buy different dry foods thinking they would get tired of one but this one they don't so I guess it will be our new household staple. And it is made in the USA!
My very picky 107lbs baby loves this food. We have to have her tested regularly because of kidney failure and her bloodwork is good so far. We have tried them all, but she actually eats this one. I gave it a 4 not because of the food, but the inability to keep it stocked. Must be good stuff.
I recently decided to change my dogs food, which is not something I was excited about because one of my dogs has a very sensitive stomach (and I mean the extreme diarrhea or bloody constipation kind of sensitive) and it took forever to find the last food he was able to eat. At first I was a little hesitant to try this food because I've never fed pork before, but it has the lower sodium and nutrient profile my other dog needs for her heart, so I figured I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did! They're now almost 100% transitioned to this food and both have perfect poops. I'm already very pleased with how they're doing with this food. Will update my review after they've been fully transitioned for a while to share any more observations:)
I have 3 15 years old rescues, that have been with me for 14 years, they truly are my best friends! One of my girls has kidney issues, and the vet wanted her on low, (or no) protein. Very hard when the other two love protein! I home cook for them, so pretty tricky trying to get everybody's dinner ready, including all their supplements, so finding a low-protein dog food, that I can add to my crock pot meal for them is hard to find. I am very happy with this dog food, the dogs really like the taste, and it has a lower protein level than most. Great reviews on this company helped me make a choice, and I will continue to order! Thanks!
My vet recommended a low-protein diet for my senior dog, so after some searching I settled on this one. I had never heard of this company before, but the food met my requirements for ingredients and protein level. My dog likes it, and he had no digestive upset switching foods. His energy level is great after being on this diet for over a month now. I would say it's a success!
When i lived in Delaware, I met the owner of the company at a Pet Fair and discussed the quality of his pet foods and was impressed, so i deed my ridgebacks with Beaverdam Skippers Choice. very satisfied and the dogs love the food
Every dog i own, 6 akitas, dropped 5-8 pounds in the month i used this. Not impressed with price vs quality.
We are so happy to have finally found the right food for our Dalmatian. She is sensitive and broke out in hives along with itchy ears and feet. Feeding her Beaverdam food stopped all problems. They care about what they put in their food.
