My Chiweenie LOVES This Bed!
My elderly Chiweenie has NEVER liked ANY pet bed before. The closest she's come to liking one is a faux fur-covered body pillow that somehow ended up on the floor in front of one of our couches. She practically lived on that thing. For some reason, I impulsively bought one of these shag donut cuddler beds for her. I didn't show it to her, just left it in the living room and ignored it. The second day it was there, she climbed into it and absolutely LOVES it! It's so fluffy and comfy looking & feeling, I wish there was something like it for HUMANS! Oh, I also didn't even have to put it in the dryer to fluff it up, before using it. It fluffed up fine, all by itself. I just put it down on the floor and fluffed it up a bit, myself, with my hands, and it was good to go.
Still trying to decide if my pup loves or hates it
I had high hopes for this bed initially; it seemed like I could move my 8 week old to it from my lap and she’d stay out. But I soon noticed she loved to dig at it, and beyond a “making a den” sort of degree of digging. It seemed uncomfortable and mad and she’d never stay in it after. In recent days as a 10.5 week old she’s slept in it more, but I’ve had to put a blanket in the center to keep from her wanting to get to the shag center. And today I saw her violently chewing/pulling the sides. I like that it’s fully machine washable and I like the love of it, but I’m not actually sure my puppy loves it. She might hate it. I don’t know, but I wish she was less stimulated/triggered by the shag material.
Wonderfully snuggly bed
Our rescue dog, Finley, is a pup of habit. He doesn't like change to his routine or his beds. However, he has a giant bed that he has finally taken to in his own way. Occasionally he will sleep on top of it, but he mainly sleeps underneath it. Thinking that he was sleeping under the bed for security and warmth, we bought him this type of calming, cuddly bed in the winter for the family room. He really took to it and seeing him snuggled up in it was heartwarming. Yes, he still sleeps underneath the giant bed, but he does like the snuggly one as well. Encouraged, we bought this one for the bedroom. He got into it for the first time last night (about a month since we purchased it). We are hoping he takes to it too. The bed is super soft and really cuddles the pup. I think the closeness of the tall sides provides a feeling of security and will help him stay warm all year long.
MY SENIOR FELINE SAFFRON ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT!
I'm so glad I purchased this bed! I was hoping my recently adopted 8 year old Sugar Cookie would jump in for a snooze and ease her anxiety as she is still partly feral and extremely shy. However, since she didn't want any part of it, I moved it over to her fellow adoptee 14 year old Saffron's loveseat. Since he's a brave explorer, it didn't take long for him to enjoy a nap in it get busy making biscuits! If I had know it would be his, I probably would've gotten the smallest size as he's only about 8 lbs. It's a bit comical because he kind of gets lost in it. It's now his favorite spot! It's well made and expect it to hold up nicely even with regular washings on the gentle cycle.
Soft and comfortable
My dogs immediately claimed the bed as soon as it was out of the box. It is extremely soft and nicely made. My only complaint is it was not fluffy enough in the middle. One dog has arthritis and was very stiff getting up. We placed this bed on top of an old bed for the extra support and cannot get them out of it anymore!
DOES actually calm
I definitely thought this was marketing language, but I also knew my senior pup, sho has recently gone deaf and lost his brother, would love it because he can't resist a soft, shaggy sleeping surface. He got in it immediately after pulling it out of the dryer, and no joke, his separation anxiety has decreased and rather than howling on our bed when we leave, I give him a treat in this bed and he curls up and sleeps in this bed. He's 15 pounds, and I got him the medium. It's huge on him, but gives him the opportunity to squeeze in-between the bolster and bottom cushion, or stretch out. Worth every penny!
A Queens Bed
My baby loves this bed her last round bed was too small even though I bought what was said to be size appropriate I made sure this new bed was big enough. Mia now uses the new bed more than ever!! She is in it almost 80% of the day and she loves it with her favorite blanket Thank you Chewy.. And Thank You for her Heart worm medicine
Soft but Crackly
I got this to replace the one my cat finally wore out. Design and materials are the same except the bottom is super crackly. It’s meant to be waterproof (it is) but the material feels thick and unforgiving so it crackles a lot when moved. My cat hardly gets in it because of this. Especially since he likes to burrow. I’m keeping it in hopes he’ll warm up to it but the noise is definitely worth mentioning.
Dog loves the donut bed!
Our dog had been sleeping in a large rectangular bed. She liked it just fine but we noticed she would curl up into a ball sometimes and only use about 1/3 of the bed. We purchased this donut bed for her and she absolutely loves it. We can remove the inner cushion and put the shell in a cool dryer for five or 10 minutes to really fluff it back up. And the shell should fit in our washing machine too. I measured her while she was sleeping all curled up and bought the appropriate sized bed so she would feel cozy. Chewy has it is at a great price.
Very large bed
The bed is super soft and fuzzy. We have only had it for a day, but my dog has not hardly gotten out of it! However it runs very large in size. I ordered a size large for my long and skinny pit mix who is 60 pounds. You could easily fit two of her in there! Wish I had gone a size smaller.
