Like it but...
This is very cute, and my boy started playing with the ballies, however, the overall size for him, or my girl (both adults) to lay on it, way too small. This is MOST DEFINITELY intended for kitties. Will keep because my boy showed interest, even if bases will be for standing/sitting while playing with the ballies. Do recommend it, but mainly for kittens, if expected to lay on it too.
Help activate my cat
I needed something to motivate a lazy 6 year old cat. He plays with paper bags , catnip toys and that's about all. This scratcher will combine both play and a needed service, keep his claws off my furniture. .It's well constructed and he should get a lot of time playing with it.
Kittens love this
Kittens love this... They're trying to get the balls out & the cardboard does not make as much of a mess.
We love our Rainbow!
Rainbow goes on her treadmill at least 10 times a day. She loves it! Kitty is almost 9 yrs., and we adopted her in Nov. at SPCA. She is our enjoyment.
Fun scratching toy, but a little unstable
One of my kittens got the idea right away -- the toy is contoured perfectly for lounging on top of it while concurrently playing with the pingpong ball that's lodged in the top groove. My other kitten though started by standing and walking on top of it, which made the toy tip with his weight (the bottom edges are beveled) -- so he got startled and ran off and hasn't come back to check it out again yet lol. But overall they both love scratching toys, so I am happy with this new addition :)
Great Product
From kittens to my older cats, they all loved it in many ways. The younger cats (including the kittens) love playing with the toy balls. The older ones love just laying on top of it. However, all the cats love scratching on it.
Seems good quality, cats don't like it as much as I had hoped
My kitties took a while to decide that they liked this, and still only one of them actually uses it. However, she does scratch it and play with the toys so I consider this worth it. Unfortunately, they don't seem to like it for scratching as much as the cheap rectangular ones, but that's not the product's fault. It looks nice and seems to hold up well.
My cats love it
Straight out of the box, they knew it was for them and they started in on it right away. They rarely leave it empty, often napping on top to prevent the other from claiming it. Never needed the enclosed catnip, but left it on my counter and they found and enjoyed that too. It survived very well through almost six months of very heavy use.
Not big enough for a grown cat
This cat shape cardboard Scratcher cat toy is a lot smaller than I thought it was. I ended up getting a jumbo scratcher for my cat. When my cat scratched on the back of it, the front end would tip up or tip on the side. It's not big enough for a full grown cat. It's great if you have kittens. I have nothing against the scratcher, it just didn't work for my cat. My cat would play with the balls though, I did like that part of it. I think all scratchers should have some weight to it so that it doesn't tip over. Overall, I was ok with it but wasn't satisfied with it, that's why I got the jumbo size.
I had hight hopes.
My cat has a couple of cardboard cubes (from Chewy) and tears them to pieces so I though this would be perfect. She won't touch it. I put catnip on it, I spayed it with catnip spray, I put her favorite toys on it. I put it in different places. She won't touch it. I love it, it is really neat looking. I really think other cats would love it. Just not Miss Picky.
