Caution! Choke Hazard!

Choke hazard, especially for smaller dogs. The skin (it’s on most of the chunks) is very tough and leathery. We peeled it off of several pieces and both tried our hardest to rip it and could not. Even twisting and bending it we could not get it to budge. The package suggests soaking the treats in water for a softer texture. We also tried that. It softened the salmon but not the skin. One our dogs (medium sized breed) had tried a piece before we realized and was trying to chew and then trying to get it spit it out but choked and gagged and scared us. Maybe if you put this in a food processor you could get it to a powder to use as a topper, as long as the skin would break up that way?

Tragic!

Food-obsessed cat doesn't like these. I was very surprised. I offered her a piece and she sniffed it and walked away. Not sure what about it she didn't like, but oh well.

Hard skin on the salmon - potential choking hazard for cats

My cat loves the salmon but there is a lot of very tough, large pieces of fish skin still on the salmon. I'm afraid my cat will choke on it so I have to peel the skin off the salmon meat. I've tried cutting it into smaller pieces but a knife doesn't even get through the skin. Seems fine for dogs but I think it's a choking hazard for even my large cat. Wish it didn't contain the skin.
