BioBag Waste Bags are a great alternative to regular polyethylene plastic bags because they're made from a resin derived from plants, vegetable oils and compostable polymers. They can be readily composted along with organic waste in municipal composting facilities and meet the ASTM D6400 standard specification for the labeling of plastics designed to be aerobically composted in municipal or industrial facilities. Please check www.findacomposter.com to make sure facilities are available in your community!
Clean and responsible, made from plants, vegetable oils, and compostable polymers.
Great alternative to plastic bags that are made from polyethylene. They are easily composted along with organic waste in a municipal setting.
The black color hides the contents after being used for the dirty job.
Each bag measures 8 x 11.4 inches and is 0.92 millimeters in thickness.
Manufactured in the USA with resin sourced from Italy.
Do not put bag over head/face, danger of suffocation.
I buy these because they are not made of plastic. Worth the extra price for me. I can testify to the short amount of time it takes for these bags to start to break down. They are thin, but even with long fingernails I've never had a problem with holes or tears. My dogs are in the 60-lb range, in case you wondered how big the poops are that we pick up. Plenty of room in the bag for even bigger poop. I love these bags.
They rip - what happened?
on Jan 23, 2018
What happened to these? I've been buying them for years, but they've changed. The last two shipments I received have been thinner (for the same price) and they rip when I pick up the poop. Biobag, my goal here is NOT to have dog poop on my hand because your bag rips at the sides. I'll try one more time then done.
Responsible and work

As with anything biodegradable, these are a bit fragile, but work just fine. After an occasional finger in poop, you will learn the technique!

I have a Boston Terrier so very small waste, but these bags work perfect! No breakage or ripping. Great to be able to help the enviroment.
What can you say about a poop bag?
on Oct 28, 2017
I actually tried a few before I got to Biobags. The handle bags frequently trailed into the poop (ugh). The extra strong bags seemed like they'd be in landfill until the next Ice Age. And I always drop the bags on a roll, leaving a ten foot trail of bags behind me. These bags are thin but sturdy and just the right size for my 45 lb dog. I'll be buying them on a regular basis.

I go through these quickly so the 12-pack is great and it's a great deal. Delivery time was exceedingly fast.
Pricey but work well

I use so many poop bags I feel better using something that will eventually break down and not pile up in the landfill. My dog is eighteen pounds so these bags are sturdy enough to handle her amount of waste product. I am so far satisfied with this product. If they were cheaper I'd give 5 stars..
Bags have major flaws
on Sep 19, 2017
The original bags were great, however now 3/4 of bags are not sealed on bottom or break out as soon as you pick up anything. Have used for years but have tried 10 different batches and all break out. Will look for different bags in future.
Best doggy bags ever

I absolutely love knowing Imdoing a good thing for the environment every time I take my dog for a walk. These are the only doggy poop bags anyone should ever use. And their texture is way better than the non biodegradable ones

Bags broke the first time I used them. My dog's poop fell through the bottom. Made a big mess. Biodegradable plastic is a nice idea, but it has to be sturdy enough to hold what it is supposed to hold. Friends who tried them said they disintegrated in their backpacks. Avoid this product.
