I was hesitant to purchase these based on reviews of poor serration and holes. BUT - these worked amazingly, and no holes! The material feels like a light cloth, and it comes without the plastic/wood roller - hello, eco-friend! If you aren't ripping these bags forcefully out from each other, you'll have no problems with the serrations! HIGHLY recommend!

I ordered these bags because I care about the environment and want to be a responsible pet owner and have eliminated most other use of single use plastic from household. However plenty of these bags have holes in them and therefore cannot be used, they are very difficult to teat and the line where you can tear off the bag is difficult to see so in the dark it is impossible ( I pre-tear the bag before I go out in the dark). Will not order thus product again.
bags are durable but hard to open
on Jun 17, 2020
these bags are super durable, and seem very earth friendly which i like. only problem is they are very hard to open. it's impossible to find the seam to separate the sides and open the bag. i wind up ripping the top part and that makes it easier to spread it apart and open. maybe some powder inside the bag might help it stick together less?
WORST BAGS EVER!
on May 9, 2020
I have never had more trouble with a bag! They do not tear at the perforation line AT ALL! They always tear partially through the bag making a hole. I have gotten poop on my hands literally every time bc of holes in the bag even when I try to hold 2 partially ripped bags together, it still fails. The only positive is that they appear to be legit compostable bc they are extremely thin but they are NOT FUNCTIONAL AT ALL. You will spend 5 min trying to tear one and inevitably it will rip through the bag- every single time! Worthless.
love the bags themselves but packaging is horrible
on Apr 20, 2020
The actual bags get 5 stars for being sturdy, a good size, and actually compostable. The packaging gets 1 star because you lose 1 bag per roll due to the way they seal it. The last bag is pressed to create the center of the roll and in doing so that bag is unusable. In actuality you get 225 bags not 240. Also the little sticker to keep the roll closed is adorable but not practical. If you don’t peel it extremely carefully you lose another bag per role.
Strong, "Real" compostable bags but difficult to open
on Apr 16, 2020
These bags are what they say they are, 100% compostable you can tell immediately by the feel, look, and smell that there is no plastic here. They are quite strong, never had one rip on me. Unlike other reviewers, I haven't had much difficulty tearing them from the roll as long as I was careful and held both the roll strip and the bag while tearing. The only issue I have with them, is that they are difficult to open. I have to wet my finger tips and still struggle a bit. I prefer to open them before I leave for a walk so I'm not fighting with them while on the move. They're good bags otherwise and give you peace of mind that you're not adding more plastic to the landfills.
Bags too thin and rip
on Apr 26, 2020
The bags are really thin and rip super easy. I expected them to feel different than the plastic bags of course, but I ripped several just trying to get the sticker off them then several more trying to pull a bag off the roll. The rolls were also too thick to fit a bag attachment for the leash. I tried a few containers since that is very odd to not fit I thought maybe my normal holder was small or something. But the roll is just too thick.
Good bag for poop and the environment
on Jun 12, 2020
They are a little difficult to tear but I have no problem if I do it carefully ahead of time. Good environmental product, and reasonable price. I will keep purchasing.
They take some getting used to
on Apr 18, 2020
I found these a little harder to handle than the standard bags, but I was willing to work with them in order not to add more plastic to the environment. Now I'm fine with them.
1) The roll is a little fatter than standard & doesn't feed nicely from the Kurgo Duty Bag; and 2) I would recommend getting used to exactly where/how to tear them before going out in the dark!
Overall good compostable bags
on Apr 2, 2020
Overall, I do like these bags. Yes, it takes slightly more effort to find the line and separate the bags from the roll, but I haven't had much of an issue. Takes one or two extra seconds to find the line. It is annoying though that the sticker they use to close off the roll rips the first bag, making it unusable, so really you're getting the number of bags on the box minus the number of rolls.
