I gave my cat this and now on the second day he is sick. He threw up twice and now he won't eat. Apparently fatty oil supplements like this can cause GI upset. But I didn't know that until I looked it up. There should be a warning on the label.
I'm sure this is a fine product, but I can not get my cats to eat is. I've tried it on wet food, dry food, tuna fish and straight from the bottle, they just won't eat any of it. Oh well, the life of a cat mom.
My poor mini Yorkie came to me as a surrender, and I immediately noticed she needed help with her skin and hair; her back legs, chest, and belly were almost hairless, and I thought that was why the poor baby was getting hot spots and rashes, making her itch and chew her feet raw. I started her on just Omega 3 and hair grew back on her legs but not her chest or belly…and she had some relief, but this oil was the real win. In less than a week, she was able to not wear a tshirt every day, growing hair on her belly, and noticeably less and less hot spots, rashes, and itching. Just a healthy pink/flash colored chest and belly.
Vet recommended an omega 3-6 for our yorkie. I started this but within week of use he started scratching more than he was so I stopped it as it was the only new ingredient in his diet. Since I didn’t use more than a week I cannot really provide a true review. However, was box of 6 vs 1 I thought so definitely a great deal. I’ve shared some with friends to try.
I tried to get my cat to try this product but he totally refused. I even tried mixing it into his favorite food and he wouldn't go near it. I tried to give it to the outdoor cats and they didn't like it either. I think I'll have to give this to the outside critters (possums and raccoons). They will eat anything!
I bought this last summer after a ton of research for something that would keep our Samoyed from getting hot spots. She didn’t have another one after giving this to her. Also seemed to help our elderly lab with her aching joints.
I ordered this product for my 3 dogs of various ages (2-11). The oil is rather odiferous and my dogs would walk away from it if I placed it on their food. My dogs, because of their size, required large amounts of this product. I tried putting it on canned food (which I never have fed before), and even freshly cooked chicken. They would not eat it. I'm sorry to say that I can not recommend this product.
FIVE *****s I recommend this for kittens, adults & seniors!
It hasn't changed her taste for her food and she hasn't been sneezing as much! I've been adding 4-5 drops with each meal, less than the suggested dosage.
My dog coat is shiny and sheadiing less my cat too but they don’t like the taste of it
