Excellent Looking Birdhouse
A windstorm took out one of our 6 birdhouses that we have had up for years. They were all made by a relative and last far beyond anything I have ever found in a store When I saw these I thought they would be perfect and they are. Good solid thick wood, and a sturdy chain to hang them. I like the nature theme embellishments too! I bought two because the price was a steal and I am very glad I did.
The house itself is cute, but I purchased it because of the red maple leaf (special meaning) on the front and I received a house with a different leaf. May return it.
Bought this house because it looked rather sturdy. All of the pieces: roof, walls and base are made of the thick wood that I would expect to stand up well to the outside elements.
I absolutely love this birdhouse! It is so cute! I know the birds will love it too and I can't wait to hang it up this spring!
Not really a wren house
This is a delightful little house, but not a safe house for wrens. The little decorative pieces on the front and the small ledge made a way for house sparrows to take over. I pulled off the decorative pieces and sawed the ledge off. House sparrows need real estate too, but I bought this house for wrens.
They loved it!
It is beautiful in person and well made. It's made by a veteran so my son-in-law and daughter loved that, as he is in the National Guard. They are waiting for the wren's to come now.
Stamp of approval!
I hung this birdhouse on Saturday, Mar. 20, 2021 on my front porch following the advice if the enclosed suggestion sheet in the shipping box. A pair of chickadees moved in on the next day, Sunday! I have two other birdhouses around, and I did see birds check them out, but this one has been chosen so far. What fun!
Such a cute little birdhouse!
Love this bird house! Cute and well made! No takers yet, but, waiting!
