DO NOT BUY!!

It only took one month for my lil savage parakeets to destroy it This is some soft wood if you looking for a good hardwood perch just buy Polly..

Just too large

Bought this for my cockatiel and tried it all over the inside of his cage but there was no way it would fit in a useful way so I figured I put it on the outside. Pointless, aside from being too large for Elvis's cage, it's also very thick and rough. It truly looks like a large random stick that was peeled with a dull pocket knife. As you can see from the pics it's way bigger than 10 inches and way too thick for a small parrot like Elvis.

Dangerous for birdie feet

When I took this perch out of the box and wiped off the dust with my hand, I got splinters! Terrible. I sanded it lightly, which helped, but when I wiped it off with a damp paper towel, the grain raised and it's rough again. Stay away from these. There's also no way of knowing what the wood actually is.
