Feeding Instructions

When introducing new food to your bird, place a layer of Bird Street Bistro over your bird's regular food in their normal feeding dish. Your bird will pick through the Bistro and start eating it in a few days. Bird Street Bistro can be a very important part of your bird's diet along with a variety of healthy seeds, pellets, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Consult with your avian veterinarian about your bird's dietary needs. For more information please visit our blog on 7 ways to introduce healthy foods to your parrot.

Microwave: Place 1 cup (235ml) of Fiesta Feast on the Fly in a large microwaveable bowl. Add 1-1/4 cups (295ml) of water. Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes, just until water begins to boil. Attend microwave during cooking to prevent boiling over. Remove from microwave, cover tightly, and let cool before serving.

Stovetop: Add 1 cup (235ml) Fiesta Feast on the Fly to 1-1/4 cups (295ml) boiling water in a medium-sized pot. Stir just until the product is moistened. Remove from heat, cover tightly, and let cool before serving.

*Note: As altitude increases and atmospheric pressure decreases, the boiling point of water decreases. To compensate for the lower boiling point of water, the cooking time must be increased.

Good but more veggies would be better

By austintiel on May 12, 2021

We recently purchased this to bring on a trip as we wanted to keep our cockatiel getting one meal a day with veggies and grains. It’s fast and easy to prepare which is a must during travel and some busy times. The only thing I disliked was that it has mostly grains and seeds like couscous and hulled millet. (FYI: One of the photos shown in this listing has some veggies in the photo that are not present in the mix.) I do like my bird to get quinoa and couscous but more veggies than grains. I could tell he missed the veggies too. Though he likes this, he doesn’t spend near as much time focused on eating it as he does his chop, so I had to be sure he was getting other things for adequate food on We recently purchased this to bring on a trip as we wanted to keep our cockatiel getting one meal a day with veggies and grains. All my birds love this

By Stella on Mar 18, 2021

This was well received by all of my birds: cockatiels, love birds, African Grey, and Amazon. Preparation was super easy. I tried a couple of different varieties, and will continue to try the others, but so far my birds seem to like Southern Feast the best.
