Transition Instructions
When transitioning to Liberty Freeze-Dried dog food, some dogs may be better by making a gradual transition over 7 - 10 days. Start with 25% of the new food mixed with 75% of the previous food and gradually increase the new while decreasing the previous until the transition is complete. The Daily Feeding Guide is a good starting point for daily feeding suggestions. If you feed more than once per day, simply divide the daily feeding amount by the number of times fed per day.

About BIXBI
The founder of BIXBI, James Crouch grew up on a mushroom farm, and it was there that he developed an appreciation for the powerful health benefits of farm-fresh foods. When he founded BIXBI decades later, he applied that knowledge to making organic mushroom supplements for dogs and cats. BIXBI’s product line has grown since those early days, but they’ve never lost sight of their mission: to provide pets with the absolute best in nutrition, with trusted ingredient sourcing and manufacturing in the USA.
This recipe is suitable for all life stages including large size dogs over 70 pounds.

What is the percentage of calcium, phosphorus and DHA on a dry matter basis?
Answer by • Jul 22, 2020
This formula has approximately 1.90% calcium, 1.50% phosphorus, an 0.09% DHA on a dry matter basis. There are approximately 173 calories per cup.
I learned about Bixbi from Susan Thixton's list and my dog loves this food. She has absolutely no gas, healthy looking poops and licks her bowl clean. We love that the food is human grade, doesn't smell yucky like some foods we've tried and is biologically appropriate. We mix in Bixbi kibble with this freeze - dried raw food then add warm water or sometimes bone broth to soften it and top it off with bits of fresh foods like fruits and veggies, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, meats and kefir. Using the kibble makes it more affordable for us. Nutritious and easy to prepare.
Also her coat is shinier since we started her on this brand. Very happy with our Bixbi purchases and Chewy!

Great for training treats
Our trainer introduced us to this for our picky Standard Poodles who are not in the least food-driven. It’s the only treat they’ll eat -we’ve tried many!- and a very special one at that. They love all the flavors but beef & lamb seem to be the favs.

Easy to prepare
Freeze dried that reconstitutes in 20 seconds with warm water. I am using as a supplement for 2 terriers who require sensitive skin food and this food is tolerated and loved by both

This stuff is great!!
The customer service at Chewy is great. My dog was allergic to food I gad purchased prior. Chewy refunded the purchase and after a bit of research I decided to give this freeze dried food a try. My dog loves it and his bald spots are slowly filling in. He is still moderate itchy but I expect that to resolve as the inflammation his body was dealing with subsides. Thank you Chewy!! You made things so easy!!

Excellent freeze-dried food!
My dogs have issues with many freeze-dried foods. We feed raw as well. Liberty was a miracle as we did not have any stool issues with the product. Ingredients are excellent. I find maybe a little less water to rehydrate. It mixes great when trying to stretch my raw as well!

Good option, like smaller size
Due to the high cost of freeze dried food, I often have to crumbie the pieces to mix them in better and use less per meal for my picky eater. However these pieces are small so no need to do that. My GSDs love this topping for their food.

Liberty freeze dried lamb topper
I have 3 dogs, they are in no way food deprived. 2x a day they will all come and beg for me to fill their dishes with food now because I top it with a small handful (1/3 cup) of topper. They all eat with no leftovers-no mess. I am happy with this product not only for the nutritional value but they absolutely love it!

My cats will eat it
I got this when it was on sale and although my dog won't eat it my 5 cats will so I use it as a topper for them.

Excelent Product - Except for the eggs
This is an outstanding product in both quality and price point. Sadly, I can no longer use it for the dog in my pack who needs it most. My standard Poodle Service Dog developed an allergy to chicken, chicken eggs (75% of dogs with chicken allergy are also allergic to chicken eggs) and dairy. It's unfortunate that such a large number of the already sparse options of non-chicken, "single protein" products may not contain chicken but they do contain eggs. More and more products are also including whey protein or "cultured skim milk" as protein % boosters. Of the most common protein allergens in dog - chicken, eggs and dairy are ranked within the top 10.
