    Picky eater approved!

My cat became a very picky eater recently. He's in the early stages of kidney disease, and I've been trying a lot of different foods to get him to eat more. This one he seems to like better. I can't really give a good review since my cats won't touch this. Not saying it's the products fault. It may be my picky cats.

Great service for 3 expired bags

    By on

Really loved chewys customer service since my first bag was expired and replaced. All replacements I received expired same as the original. Ended up with 3 expired bags total. They refunded the cost of the original and the replacements were free. Salem was interested in eating it for a few minutes but that was it. I gave the bags to my mom so she can feed homeless cats. I won't be ordering this bag ever again but chewys kind customer service has won our hearts and wallet. We have 4 cats who want different foods all the time. They get bored quickly. The warehouse needs to check dates more often.

    great ingredients

    By on

One of my cats has IBS, so I am very careful with what foods I can feed the 3 of them to avoid stinky disasters. They get wet food in the morning and blackwood duck at night and they scarf it down every time. The price is very reasonable for the quality of food. The 13.22 lb bag gets me through the month and then some.

Cat loves it AND it’s healthy!

    By on

My cat goes crazy for dry food in general, but he definitely loves the blackwood grain-free kibbles! It’s expensive, but he only gets 1/4c of dry food a day (the rest is wet food), so one 4lb bag lasts over a month. And the small batch aspect makes me feel like I’m feeding my cat something good!

They dig so hard every time they smell the food. Good for fat cat, not for mine

    Cat Obsessed

    By on

My cat is Obsessed with this food! He can't get enough of it. He is actually eating way too much of it, and I am going to have to limit his intake here soon as he is starting to put on some weight. I haven't actually ever seen him react to a food like this one before. I have also noticed that he seems to have more energy than before, and his coat is looking magnificent. There hasn't been any vomiting at all since I switched him to this. The ingredient list is impressive, and I feel good feeding this to my cat.

    Won't eat it

    By on

Was trying to get away from chicken and seafood so my cat won't throw up as much. The vet thinks it's food allergies and said chicken and seafood are most common allergies to food. My cats just look at me with contempt and walk away. When they get hungry enough they will nibble but it is not to their liking. So disappointed since it was more money.

Cats love it, not available locally

    By on

I had been searching for a healthier alternative for both of my cats. I recently adopted a 6 year old cat and she was vomiting on occassion. I began searching for a healthier food (which I found does not mean more expensive) but she would still get sick. I ordered a small bag of the Blackwood dry food online and it has helped her. I would like to switch to this brand entirely for dry and canned food, but this brand is not available to purchase locally. I am hesitant to order a case of canned food ($40) that may not work out. If only I could order a few (7 or so) to make sure my cat does not have a bad reaction, I would be behind this brand.
