So frustrated this has been discontinued

By PhillyLuv on Feb 13, 2021

I have been searching for a pea free, potatoe free, soy free, legume free, dry dog food where at least the first three ingredients (but preferably more) are meat protein based, and contains organ meat/ cartilage - all that good stuff - and a product line that has at least two if not more of an assortment I have been searching for a pea free, potatoe free, soy free, legume free, dry dog food where at least the first three ingredients (but preferably more) are meat protein based, and contains organ meat/ cartilage - all that good stuff - and a product line that has at least two if not more of an assortment of flavors, one of which being fish based, for diet variety! That is so hard to find!! I finally discovered this brand only to not be able to find it anywhere and find out it's been discontinued 2 months before I found out abt it! The only other similar brand I found is Nulo Challenger and that's not sold anywhere within the 100 miles of the metropolitan area that I live in nor is it sold on any large websites, only small Pet Food boutique websites that only do local delivery or will deliver it to my area for $70 s/h. The crazy thing is I'm actually considering paying that shipping because I cannot find a good quality dog food that will make my dog not go crazy with itching and fur loss!! So frustrating a good quality product like this is discontinued due to low demand but all the other garbage pet food that blue makes it's still sold. … more

Not sure it's worth the cost!

    By JerseyGirl1628 on Nov 8, 2019

This dry food sounds healthy and delicious and what I would want my dog to eat even though I'm not sure about this "grain free diet" thing going on. My dog doesn't like this any better then the Blue Buffalo dry food that is not grain free and it's less expensive, too. So...to sum it up...sounds yummy This dry food sounds healthy and delicious and what I would want my dog to eat even though I'm not sure about this "grain free diet" thing going on. PRODUCT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED

    By on

My 2 dogs loved this product, as it had great ingredients and didn't have those nuisance "rocks" that are in all the other Blue Buffalo dog foods. Unfortunately I was told by Blue's Customer Service that the Carnivora line was discontinued around Nov. 2020 due to low demand. I have switched to the Signature Turkey Formula Limited Ingredients brand, and the dogs are happy again.

    My dogs love Carnivora

    By on

We rotate between the different Carnivora foods. My Rottweiler's coat is soft and shiny since starting this food. My elderly Miniature Schnauzer does a dance every morning and evening telling me she wants to eat.

    Great Food!!

    By on

So far we have gone through 2 bags so far and the dogs seem to love it. Our senior even gets excited for breakfast/dinner and that usually doesn't happen with other food. I believe my only complaint is that its such a small bag for a high price. I understand you pay for what you get, but all around a great dog food.

    like FROMM better

    By on

my German Shepard was raised on Fromm but eats mostly real meat mixed with that kibble. thought I would try it for the protein but decided to stick with real meat instead. For owners that don't want to bother with real meat I think this might work better

    Outstanding product

My Sheltie LOVES this food. It also meets the criteria for nothing in it that's "controversial" or potentially harmful.

    Finicky 10 month old

    By on

I tried other brands but my puppy just refused to eat. So I went back to Blue Buffalo and tried this Carnivora. He loves it. It is higher in protein than I like so I lower his intake and add broccoli, green beans, spinach and blueberries. Happy puppy, oh and it's Nov 1st Adam is 11 months old. Happy Birthday Adam!
