The vet prescribed Science Hill for our dog with liver disease and pancreatis. He required low protein low fat diet. The Science Hill had low protein however, fat wasn't very low. Bloodwork indicated liver disease levels back to normal. Pancreatis levels higher. We shopped around and found Blue Buffalo was low protein. Our dog ate Blue Buffalo for a month. His protein level stayed normal and his pancreatis level lowering. Plus, he eats the Blue Buffalo plain.
This formula basically saved my last dogs life, he was a rescue, a 12 year old blue pit, blue..when I got him he was starved, neglected and left for dead, I fed him this formula, he gained his weight back, his coat started shining and that dog baffled the vet, when he died they estimated he was 17 years old so I got to give him a retirement home. Now I have 2 American bullies and this is their food, my whole family buys the same brand for their dogs after the whole blue affair, stuff is the real deal
I began feeding Blue Buffalo to my PW Corgi approx 8Y ago. Normally I do not take the time to write reviews, however when it comes to the health of your pets, I must take a few moments. Jhayda loved the switch immediately, activity level and her appearance soon followed. Her coat appears wet because of the sheen and bunny rabbit soft! When we go places, the countless compliments from people are non-stop. No one can believe the feel and the shine is stunning. This can only reflect how well her nutritional needs are now being met. There is a price difference between BB and other dog food options but it's important to know the lesser amt fed daily will make them same if not less in price. Jhayda weighs 23# - I purchase 15# bag of BB: chicken brown rice senior for active, small dogs. The 15# bag lasts 3m- an avg of $10 / month in feed cost. BB is high quality ingredients and only made and sourced in the USA. This combination makes the ultimate compilation of nutrition and only brand I will ever purchase in the future. Family members have began feeding their dogs BB and witnessed the same healthy changes I saw in Jhayda. I highly recommend BB, there's no excuse not feeding your 4 legged fam members the best!
I have been using the same dog food for years for my girl, Baby. She is now 8 and I thought it would be a good idea to transition her to a senior dog food. She really likes it, so I am happy. We are also new customers. We wanted to support a company that loves dogs/animals and not just a box store. So thank you!
Brought for senior fur babies: Micah, -eleven, Ezekiel - 13 and Eli - 14. First they would try to bury both bowl and food with nose. They are not eating it unless I put warm water on it. Have not put on auto ship yet as I am hoping they will show more interest. Old dogs are like us - don't like change. Time will tell.
Toot was diagnosed with Pancreatitis a few months back. After being on meds and on a rice and chicken diet that I was making for her I decided to move her on to a Senior dog food by the advice of our vet. I could not believe how fast she recovered and is having no problems with her new diet. She is happy and putting on a little weight, which she needed to do.
The order came on time, but when I opened the box the bag was ripped. It was not ripped from the box being opened it was ripped the other way.
Trying to change to a good senior blend. I am having to use a topper so on the bench for now.
