About BLUE Buffalo

Blue Buffalo began with unconditional love and some furry inspiration from a large breed Airedale, Blue. When Blue's family started a pet food company, their vision was clear. They wanted every pet parent to be able to feed their pet with the same care they would feed family. So they created the #1 natural pet specialty food to help furry family members live happy, healthy lives. Of course, they named it after Blue.

HP Natural

Product works extremely well for my boy Snowball. No more itchiness or pulling hair out of his poor body. He suffered way too much. Was given Cytopoint shots monthly and many medical skin products with some relief. Finally, HP Natural has been a Blessing! Hope it continues to be effective. Problem with product is the cans have several large holes in the food itself so your really not getting a full can.

Life Saver

My 6 year old English Bulldog began having problems absorbing protein and this dog food has been a life saver. She would not eat the dry food by itself (also BB Natural HF) but by mixing the canned food she is once again eating and digesting the needed nutrients needed.

Many cans are half large air bubble

Many of the cans, when you dig into the food with a spoon, there are large pockets of air. Some are not full to the top of the can.. Thus you only get about half food and half air! Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein canned dog food is full to the top and contains no air pockets! I am very disappointed in Blue Buffalo for this reason.

smorgasbord

I have a husky that was a rescued. She was abused and had many issues. She has IBD to name one. I have had her for many years as she is a senior husky now. It has always been a worry of mine if she is eating and getting proper nutrition. She needs to consume only hydrolyzed protein. Royal Canin, Hills, and Purina are all chicken. I spend hours each day to get her to eat. I tried the Blue Buffalo because it is hydrolyzed salmon. She eats it and sometimes with enthusiasum. I do have four different kinds of food for her; all hydrolyzed as my blue eyed baby needs a selection to entice her to eat and to give her the best care I can.

Smells awful.

Our girls need hydrolyzed food due to IBD. Their normal brand was out of stock so we figured we tried this. Opened the can and was hit with a stank worse then the other Hydrolyzed food which we thought was as bad as it gets. Tried to offer our girls a taste of the food, they spit it out and refused to eat it. We tried to mix it in their old food and they still refused to eat it. Thank goodness their old food came back in stock!

Not a good substitute

This product was a replacement for my dogs Vet diet dry food as the usual item is not available even from Vet. It made her SICK! Vomiting, lethargy, second day no eating.I am boiling chicken. I had the usual diet and mixed with this canned as to help her but canned is NOT good.

Hydrolyzed Wet Food

This one is super smelly. I had to get used to it. That being said, out of the other 3 HP my dog has tried, she eats this one good and that’s what is important. She must have HP due to bowel disease and this food has been a lifesaver for us after months of testing and ER vet visits to figure it out.

Great Canned Salmon for Dogs on a Special Diet

Our Dog Loves this Food and has been eating it for almost three (3) years. It was Highly Recommended by our Vet at the Mizzou Veterinary Clinic in Wentzville, MO, for Dogs with Skin and Allergy Issues. Thanks!
