I knew my Frenchie was grain sensitive, so I had her on Biljac's grain free formula for almost a year and she was doing fine. All of a sudden, she stopped eating her food in one sitting. This lasted for about a week. Soon, I noticed that she would cough and have itchy paws after her meals. That is when my vet suggested that she may be allergic to poultry and recommended BB NP! She has been using this formula for about 4 months now and she loves it! I mix the canned food with the dry food to stretch it out because it's very expensive. All in all, we are very pleased with this food.
I have a 13 yr old lab mix. I have always fed my dog store kibble with out any problems. Last summer he had diarrhea for 1 month. We tried everything to find the problem without success. I thought it was his time & it was probably cancer. Finally my Vet had me see a dog Oncolgist to get an ultra sound of his G I track. Nothing was found & the oncologist said she would bet it was simply his diet & allergies (all this worry & money & it could simply be allergies?). Anyway, we started him on Blue B NP & now 6 months later, he hasn’t had any diarrhea & even his coat looks healthier. I’m not sure why after all those years of the other diet, Blue Buffalo grain free lamb, he was fine and then not? Don’t know, but he’s good now. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has a dog with this type of allergies to try it. Pricey but worth it.
Both of my Pomeranians has had diarrhea on and off for the last 3 years. We were told to change their food to Blue Buffalo Alligator by the veterinarian due to them having food allergies. Neither of them has had diarrhea since we have made the change. I wish we would have made this change 3 years ago. It would have saved us a lot of money at the vet and my babies would have not had to gone through the discomfort of having diarrhea.
If you have a food allergy dog, this might be something you should try. My dog Gus is a super picky eater but he has AWFUL food allergies. If he gets just one piece of my other dogs food his eyes turn bright red and he's itching for a week. We tried RC HP, Purina HA & BB HF & Gus would never consistently eat it. Finally after he dropped some weight my veterinary dermatologist suggested we try this. NP is seriously a miracle. Gus eats it consistently and I use the cans to give him his pills and he eats it EVERY time- which getting him to take pills before was so difficult. Expensive but worth it! Wonderful product.
Very pleased with this canned dog food. My finicky dog loves it.
