Description

Training a kitten to use the litter box can be a challenge, but with the powerful blend of herbs found in Blue Buffalo Naturally Fresh, you can teach your kitten to begin using the litter box quickly and easily. This biodegradable litter provides a simple, safe and natural solution that can work wonders. A proprietary mix of fibrous materials found in walnut shells provides superior odor control and creates harder clumps for easier scooping. Plus, unlike clay litter, Naturally Fresh has virtually no dust and won’t stick to your kitten’s paws.

Key Benefits
  • This quick-clumping litter is formulated with naturally-scented herbs to aid in training you kitten quickly and easily.
  • Made from a blend of walnut shells, this eco-friendly litter may help neutralize odor better than clay, pine and wheat litters.
  • Formulated with annually renewable sources and no chemicals, toxins, clay, corn, or grains, so it's safe for you and your kitten.
  • A low-tracking material ensures your furry friend won't be tracking litter and bacteria throughout your home.

Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

  • Well trained kitten

    By on

My daughter found this litter for us the first day we brought our kitten home. She is very health conscious about this little one so she did some research on kittens cause we havent really had a kitten, Jax our 19 year old cat that passed away in December we had taken him from my sister when he was about 2 . She had read that the dust from other litters was very bad for kittens and cats to breathe in, so she found this product and it has worked wonderful for our kitten Link.

  • It does the job

    By on

This litter is by no means dust free. It does do a good job of clumping, and keeping the litter box undetectable smell wise in my bedroom. It tracks a little bit, but nothing a covered litter box and a mat didn’t fix. Overall I am ok with this litter. I have tried the pellet, and this, and next up is the green bag of B.B. litter. Still feel like I am on the hunt for a great eco friendly natural litter

  • Not what Blue Buffalo claims....

    By on

I specifically tried this because it claims to be 100% dust free. Well guess what, its not, not even close unless I got a bum bag but I doubt it. It produces dust when pouring and when scooping up. To boot, it is the worst clumping litter I have ever used. It is nice and light weight and the odor control seems to be what they say. The dust, they are fibbing!!! Sorry Chewy to leave a one star review. I do love your service.

  • Brought back good litter box habits!

    By on

After trying out a different litter box system with large pellets, my bengal began using my bed as a litter box instead. This litter instantly made my kitten start to use her litter box again. I actually saw her cover her business for the first time ever! I couldn't find this specific type in stores so thank you chewy!!!

  • Kittens didn't like it

    By on

The kittens wouldn't even go near it. They used the regular litter I always get for my adult cat.

  • Not for white cats!

    By on

As a new cat owner I am looking for a litter that clumps well, isn't bad for the environment, and doesn't have a perfumed smell. Although this litter does all of these things the problem is that my kitten comes out of her litter box with her white paws & lower legs covered in brown dust from the litter itself. It looks terrible and for that reason I won't be buying this litter again. Also I wouldn't want the dust transferred to my furniture.

  • Did the trick!

    By on

I purchased this after trying the Blue Buffalo for multiple cats because the kittens weren't using the litter box. It did the trick. The kittens started using the litter box. My only complaints are they really seem to track it all over the crate and it doesn't seem to have much odor control.

  • Great for my Kitten

    By on

My kitten took to this litter great, she automatically went into the litter. I love that it's all natural. It clumps well, and I haven't had an issue with smell nor her leaving a trail of litter behind!

  • Not Good- Accidents

    By on

I recently acquired a 5 week old rescue kitten who took to litterbox right away with some old plain scoopable cat litter. I purchased this as I use the multi cat scoopable for my adult cats in a different litterbox and have no problems. The first day of switching to this litter the kitten who was using the litterbox fine urinated and defecated on my blankets so I am now in process of washing up a bunch of bedding as I type this. She did not like the switch even after I introduced it by sprinkling some of the other and leaving her previous toiletings in the box. I also noticed it seemed different in size and dust levels compared to the multi cat. I am not totally out of the nearly $25 I spent on it but would not recommend for tiny kittens. Mine might have something to do with the color. It is a very dark litter and that could throw off a young kitten learning. Will not be purchasing again. … more

  • Best ever for orphan kittens

    By on

I foster kittens from a few days to 3 months old. When they lose their Momma so young, they haven't learned some of the kitten basics. When it's time to teach them to use the box, I start with this training litter. As they grow accustmed to the process, I slowly mix in standard litter to wean them to "the big kids' box" This litter eliminates most of thowse early training messes.
