Description

Odor control is always a pet parent’s main concern when it comes to choosing a litter. That’s why Blue Buffalo developed Naturally Fresh Ultra Odor Control Multi-Cat Quick-Clumping Cat Litter. This powerful litter provides a natural solution to odor control and is enhanced with triple-action enzymes to neutralize fecal, urine and ammonia odors upon contact. What’s more, Fresh Ultra Odor Control is highly absorbent and creates harder clumps for easier scooping and, unlike clay litter, is virtually dust-free and won’t stick to your cat’s paws.

Key Benefits

  • Blue Buffalo Naturally Fresh Ultra Odor litter is quick-clumping litter ideal for multiple cat households that need a little extra protection. It's been enhanced with triple enzyme action to neutralize fecal, urine, and ammonia odors immediately upon contact.
  • If offers superior absorption and odor control because it's made from a proprietary blend of walnut shells, proven to neutralize odor better than clay, pine and wheat litters. In fact, it absorbs 3X more that the leading brand clay litter. Since it's more absorbent you can use less meaning one bag goes a lot farther that an equally sized clay litter.

  • Virtually dust-free means you can breathe easier in your home, unlike clay litter which throws off silica dust, which isn't good for pets or owners with respiratory problems. It's low tracking so you won't have litter throughout your home carried by your furry friend's paws and helps you maintain a clean environment for you cat by hard clumping so clean up is breeze.
  • Made in the USA from homegrown walnut shells!

  • Passed the 4 day test!

    By on

I had been using SmartCat litter or Swheat Scoop (if on sale). This was on sale and since it had "triple enzymes" and one bag was supposed to equal 3 bags of regular clay litter decided to give it a go. Had tried the regular multi-cat Blue Buffalo litter a while back. Was ok but this is beyond superb at controlling odours! Love that it's unscented and super lightweight. Clumps well and uber quickly. No dust! Great for kitties (& mums) with asthma. Soft on their little paws and seems to be lasting longer than other litters. Well, it passed the 4 day test!!!! I work for an airline and am gone for 3-4 days at a time. My goon brother is home watching our animals, however, scooping litterboxes I had been using SmartCat litter or Swheat Scoop (if on sale). (Did I mention he's a biologist with a speciality in animal behaviour)? When I came home 4 days later and opened the door to the house I couldn't smell a thing!!! And surprisingly the cats were still using their litterboxes. I scoop constantly when I'm home so they can get fussy if their boxes are not clean. This has surpassed EVERYTHING in the odour control department. Will be buying again. … more

  • Better than most

Since I've had cats, I've always used natural, biodegradable litters. I've used them all, ones made of corn, wheat, wood, even grass. I finally decided to try this, and I think it will be a permanent switch. Unless I find something better of course, but of all the litters I've used, this so far has been the best at controlling odors. My one complaint is that it is dusty. I've not found a litter yet that isn't at least a little dusty, but this is more dusty than I'd like. It has not started smelling like urine though, which the popular corn and wheat litters did after just 2-3 days. It also doesn't seem to get tracked everywhere, and though I can see brown dust on the walls of the white litter Since I've had cats, I've always used natural, biodegradable litters. • Not as good as the corn litter I normally use

    By on

This litter has a peculiar odor to it. That I don't like. I am also worried it might not be good for my ferrets. The color is very dark. Ferrets do not dig holes. I can't readily see the areas that are dirty. It advertised it didn't clump well. That is true. I can't pick out the cat's urine clumps without the clump falling apart. It says it does not have dust. It does have dust. This product is not up to Blue Buffalo standards. I Do Not Like it.

  • Just Trying It Out.

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I have only used it in 1 litterbox and I topped off the regular multi cat walnut litter. But I haven’t thought about stink so it must be working. Just now I need to get the cat to cover the poop. She never has. The verdict isn’t totally in yet but I have ordered another bag. I have 6 litter boxes so I am just getting started on the swap over.

  • Dustiest Litter I've Ever Used

    By on

Unfortunately this litter was terrible. I've used the Blue walnut pellets in the past with a different litter system and really liked them, so I expected the same or better from this. It's terrible. Dust was everywhere, my cats smelled like it, and the litter box practically changed color from the amount of it. It clumps well and has good odor control, but the dust is intolerable.

  • Perhaps a little less dust than the other Blue Buffalo walnut litters.

    By on

I have tried two other Blue Buffalo walnut litters (not the scented ones, but the ones in the green and red bags). I buy them because they are the best alternative to clay I have found. I always have a little difficulty figuring out why the different products are different from each other. I decided to try this one and it looks and works about the same. Perhaps a little less dust. Note, these litters are not dust free. I vacuum fine brown dust off the white baseboards near the litter box on a regular basis. As a litter, my cat loves it and it clumps reasonably well as long as you remove the urine balls gently. The urine balls do fall apart so you might find it takes a little extra scooping I have tried two other Blue Buffalo walnut litters (not the scented ones, but the ones in the green and red bags). Not sure I'm really liking this litter, doesn't clump well but is very much odor free, pleasant nutty smell which is a great plus. I'm using in one litter box, and Arm & Hammer Slide in another that clumps wonderfully. Investigating Pretty litter.....

  • Used right,it's great!

    By on

When we first used it, it was a disaster - it was mixed with another litter and we used a lot of it. Now it's on its own and we use very little. Very little stink and tracking. Our girl cat even uses it, and she basically wouldn't use anything before. Definitely recommend.

  • Great litter

I have been using "worlds best" for years now for our 7 kitties when I heard about this one, I tried it, it DOES leave leave less tracking, there is a very slight odor to it which doesn't bother us, its very dark which masks the waste (bonus) & it works out cheaper..so overhaul, very happy with with this litter
