My ferrets have taken to Blue Buffalo kitten formula. Is there any reason I shouldn’t let them eat it? Is it safe for them?

If ferret food is not available then Blue Buffalo kitten food is okay to use along with fatty acid supplements.

Causes constipation

We've been feeding our kitten this for a month and it caused her serious constipation. I had to start using probiotics to get her to be regular...until I tried another food and her stool looked much better. It's also extremely expensive ($7/lb!?) so I will not be using this brand anymore. At least I got free cat treats out of it thanks to their buddies app though.

good recovery food

my cat is 13 and had a sinus infection. It drug on for some time and drug him down. I wanted to switch to a grain free and tried this. I t seemed to help his allergies and energy level. He really liked it too. as he gained weight I switched him to the adult version. He looks great now. rarely sneezes and eyes are clear. this did help him recover.

A+ Product

They do not make great food all the way around. Don't get their canned food for cats as it has carrageenan which destroys your gut or your pets gut, its a red seaweed that no one should eat. But that said their kitten dry food has great ingredients in it. I will eventually switch my kitten to full soft food once she is grown but for now she needs this since I can't be with her all day and she needs food to grow. A+ Thanks! :)

Not for young kittens

My new 3-month-old kitten from the shelter could not digest this food. Caused diarrhea and vomiting. Changed to another food and she's fine now. Perhaps allergic to it or the kibbles are too big. Perhaps it was too much of a change from the food they gave at the shelter but could not find the same food used at the shelter. Seems to be a shortage of certain formulas for sensitive stomachs.

Finally a Food That Doesn't Cause Puke

My cat is not a kittten. He is 13 years old and throws up a LOT. This is the first dry food that I have found, after trying many, many types and brands, that he seems to tolerate. Problems with wet food, too, and Blue Wilderness for kittens pate seems best for him. He doesn't have a hairball problem because he regularly eats a pat of butter.

Great Food

I got this for my parent's kitten a few months ago, and my cat loves it too. It is the same size kibble as the adult Blue Wilderness line, so the only thing that makes it kitten food is the nutrition content. I love the quality of ingredients!

Kitty loves it

I found a kitten out in my garden when it was probably 5 wks old. I had to give it a milk supplement for about 2 wks along with the Weruva Kitten canned food. I wanted to transition her with dry food, but everything I tried she wouldn't eat. The Blue Wilderness she eats even when she finishes eating a can of food! She loves it and I trust the brand.

Great quality, cat loves it

When I adopted my cat a few months back, her foster family said she didn't like dry food and would barely eat any of it. She likes this stuff almost as much as her wet food, though, especially when I put it in treat dispensers she can play around with. I can also tell the nutritional content is great because she poops regularly but not in large amounts (meaning she's absorbing a lot of nutrients), and she isn't gaining excess weight. Zero complaints here.

Good stuff!

Our kittens were fed this at the Rescue they came from so we've kept them on it. They seem to love it and there isn't a morsel left from either of them.
