BLUE Wilderness contains:
Both types of diets can be a good fit. It just depends on the needs of your pet and your personal preference. Whole grains are complex carbohydrates that provide dogs with the energy they need to thrive. But if your pet has sensitivities to grains, you would want a grain-free option. Even Blue Buffalo’s diets with grains are made without corn or wheat — part of our True BLUE Promise. Instead, we use wholesome oats, barley, and brown rice. Both grains and grain-free carbohydrates are healthy and nutritious; we recommend talking with your veterinarian to decide which option is best for your pet.
While grains provide nutrition for pets, some people choose to avoid grains for various reasons. Grains are not common allergens in most dogs and cats, but if your pet is allergic to a specific grain or ingredient, you should avoid it. Blue Buffalo foods never contain corn, wheat or soy.
There are three main benefits of feeding grains:

Sadly I have to switch again as this is the last option of grain free with real meat option. Interesting enough. If you look at the ingredients, you will see the bone bison, however, chicken meal and beef meal are the second and third ingredient in this new product. Canceling my AutoShip moving onto a new food brand. After 10 years of loyalty (2 dogs) to each one of their products food and snacks, is sad they picked profit over dogs food quality. They need to change their slogan.
My dog had gotten to the point where she wasn't eating her food right away, and sometimes only half of each meal, so I switched to the old formula of this and she loved it. Was eating all her food shortly after giving it to her. A huge improvement. Then this "new formula", that they cut with grain and charged more for, and she is back to being very unenthused about meals. Super disappointed in Blue Buffalo for pulling this. Will be finding a new food for my girl.
I have been feeding my dog Rocky Mountain Wilderness Bison for years. Now you claim a better (more expensive) formula with meat and additives. I will no longer use Blue. Why the change?
Frustrated!! I had this autoshipped for many years, and every dog I have or had loved it. Now with the recipe change two of my four won't eat it, and they're not small picky dogs. The search begins again...
I received an email stating a change in the recipe as well as having the original still available if so desired. I decided to try it for my GSD and he enjoys every little morsel and so far, after eating about 30% of the new recipe, no intestinal issues and he looks forward to it as part of his daily meal. He gives it two paws up!
I was a faithful user of this product until you changed your formula. Chicken meal? Really?? I am so upset by this. I prided myself in feeding this brand to my dogs, and bragged about it to my friends, family, as well as my neighbors. Not anymore. It is so hard to find a quality dog food with no chicken meal (my dogs are allergic) and I was so happy when I found this one. Sorry Blue Buffalo. I am afraid we are going to break-up.
After speaking with my vet regarding studies showing grain free diets being linked to dilated cardiomyopathy (dcm) I'm happy to be able to give my dogs everything they need in one bag.
I decided on Wilderness Red Meat Bison food because it was grain free. It is relatively expensive, but Ruby's my baby. Now they have increased the amount of food in the bag, but added "healthy" grains. That's not for Ruby. We will find another grain free option. Sorry Blue, you broke the contract.
It is good, wish that it came in large breed. My dogs prefer the larger chunks, but they will eat the regular chunks.
You quietly changed the formula!! A great grift!! HOW TRUMPIAn A VERY EXPENSIVE GRIFT Moving on after 7 years
