    A solid hit with both cats!

    Both my cats are one-time ferals who came to me skinny after existing on geckos and moths, whatever they could catch to eat. Surprisingly, they're both picky eaters. I suppose they're assured now of their next meal and have developed discerning tastes. Anyway, they started turning down another brand I'd been purchasing for a while. I took a chance on this one. They both love it. No empty plates here! So happy we have no more wasted food from two very picky eaters. … more

    Lots of additives, but he eats it.

    We definitely raise an eyebrow at the inclusion of controversial ingredients, namely: Carageenan (a known/proven intestinal irritant) Various gums (not necessary) etc., especially given that the food is a pate with little or no texture. These additives are found in highly-processed human food and We definitely raise an eyebrow at the inclusion of controversial ingredients, namely: Carageenan (a known/proven intestinal irritant) Various gums (not necessary) etc., especially given that the food is a pate with little or no texture. These additives are found in highly-processed human food and are almost always a cost-cutting measure. But... Our cat eats it. Whatever they're putting in here, he likes. He likes it more than food twice the cost that's loaded with vegetables, lacking the preservatives, etc. And if the animal doesn't eat it, what's the point? I will say that he seems to like Blue's chicken & trout better--because it's flaked. Our cat really doesn't like pates but few foods do a truly-flaked texture. I've read a lot about this company and the owner is a marketing genius, known for creating "premium" brands that don't necessarily deliver premium quality. Lots of recalls on this one. I would say that it's worth trying, if you have a really finicky eater, but not without reservations. I wish I felt better about feeding my cat this brand...at least he eats it. … more
