BLUE Wilderness contains:
Both types of diets can be a good fit. It just depends on the needs of your pet and your personal preference. Whole grains are complex carbohydrates that provide dogs with the energy they need to thrive. But if your pet has sensitivities to grains, you would want a grain-free option. Even Blue Buffalo’s diets with grains are made without corn or wheat — part of our True BLUE Promise. Instead, we use wholesome oats, barley, and brown rice. Both grains and grain-free carbohydrates are healthy and nutritious; we recommend talking with your veterinarian to decide which option is best for your pet.
While grains provide nutrition for pets, some people choose to avoid grains for various reasons. Grains are not common allergens in most dogs and cats, but if your pet is allergic to a specific grain or ingredient, you should avoid it. Blue Buffalo foods never contain corn, wheat or soy.
There are three main benefits of feeding grains:

They have been eating this for like 2 yrs now. Its really great food and I love the small breed bites for them. I ordered from Chewy and got it the very next day even though it was Sunday! Go Chewy! You are awesome!
I have to “doctor” this food up for my girl since they’ve changed it. More expensive but they don’t like it as much. I don’t want to change to a completely different brand since it’s been years using this. I’m just disappointed & I feel bed for my girls honestly.
since the formula has been changed, my dogs do not like this food any longer. And recently, one of them stopped eating due to her getting diarrhea. My other dog soon developed diarrhea as well. We took them off this food & they immediately started eating & "pottying" normal.
I've been searching for a food for years that both my small dogs could eat and would eat.I finally found one that agrees with both dogs!
The former product my 2 senior Chihuahuas liked quite well was Blue Buffalo Wilderness Adult Small Bite Chicken Recipe Grain-Free Dry Dog Food, 24-lb bag. I gave them my confidence with this replacement recipe. They're just not crazy about it and I regret having paid an addition $30 over the prior price for 2 bags. My eldest didn't eat for 2 days and I figured out it wasn't that she didn't feel well, she didn't care for the recipe! This food is expensive and I purchased 2 bags. I'll have to work through it the next couple of months while looking into other products. Disappointed they don't enjoy it as much as the other recipe and eat it only because they're hungry.
Exellent service from chewy.com. My shitzu loves this brand of food.
My 2 IG have been eating this kibble for the last 12 years. When Chewy sent me an email about the ingredients being changed, I went ahead and ordered another bag. Surprised that both my IG loved the new ingredients. They both seem to like this better.
Have been using this product for a long time! Our car loves it besides our small dogs!
I knew when I received my new bag of this dog food that they now have added some grains. I debated about switching to the old formula but decided it was worth trying. My two dogs didn't seem to notice a difference and they are doing great on it.
The pack is not enthusiastic about the new formula but I ordered my usual amount and they will eat it. Have to add broth to it to get it accepted. We were Doing fine on the previous formula. Was hoping for better acceptance. I have eight dogs.
