What is the size of the pellets?
Answer by ChewyJun 16, 2020
The size of the pellet is approximately 5/32 inches.

Are the pellets soft enough for an elderly llama with some missing teeth to chew?
Answer by ChewyOct 29, 2021
These pellets are an excellent option for an elderly llama. We recommend misting the pellets prior to feeding to help soften them if they are missing all or most teeth.

Is this food good for my camel. I am trying to change from sweet feed horse/goat. Thank you!
Answer by ChewyFeb 22, 2021
Bluebonnet Feeds Supreme Llama Alpaca Food is well suited for use in camels.

Quality Feed

This is quality feed and well eaten by my llamas and alpacas. It was delivered in a very timely manner by fedex. I will soon be going on automatic delivery. I have dealt with CHEWY for years and have always been well satisfied. I would recommend Bluebonnet feed and Chewy to any animal owners.

Rare Find for Alpaca

I have done a lot of research on Alpaca food and nutrition, including many studies and research papers. In all cases, I found it is NOT recommended to feed an Alpaca any supplement containing Molasses. This is one of very few, I think the only, that does not contain Molasses as an ingredient. Makes sense! The Alpaca still love this food, and it contains many beneficial ingredients to supplement the normal pasture diet.

My Paca Girls Love This

I rarely write reviews, but this feed really impressed me... and my alpacas! They love it and I'm so glad I can get it through Chewy and have it delivered right to my door. Thanks, Chewy!

The very best for my alpacas.

My alpacas love this. The nutrients are good, the price is way better than Mazuri and they don’t choke on it all the time like they did on the Mazuri because it’s much smaller. Thank you chewy for providing this.

Applewood Farm

I've been feeding Mazuri for many years for my llamas and alpacas, decided to add this to give it a try, and check the contents and quality, it seems good and they are taking to it, doubt if I'll competely switch but always good to have a back up.

The boys love it!

First of all, thank you Chewy for starting to carry so many farm animal feeds and supplies. I switched my five boys from Southern States (which was brown pellets), to this. I was surprised when I opened it and it was green and smelled lovely. The boys approved. I felt like such a bad mommy for feeding that brown stuff for so long.

Omg they Love it!!!!

Thank you for carrying Alpaca feed. We were always having issues getting the high price feed from our feed store. The stress of running out and not having their feed in their store made us search for a new feed. My cria, late lactating moms and all other alpacas can now be fed the same food!! They gobble it down and the other feed they barely touch it as we were transitioning them to Bluebonnet feed. Now we can save money and have it delivered to our gate! And during uncertain times less stress is always better. Thank you Chewy

Llama special

My Llama is really picky and turns her nose up at anything different. I mixed this with the Allstock and she is eating it.

racoon treat

My local mill closed so I thought I'd give this a try. It took me a few days to realize that my alpaca would't eat it, but a raccoon did (and left many droppings in my barn). Switched to another feed and the raccoon has vacated.
