    Too small for training

    By on

I have 3 labs. I had previously been using wellness core tender bowl boosters for training. They are the perfect size for training large dogs. Small but soft. Due to a food allergy, I had to find a new training treat. This is not it. This would not even be good for an 8 week old puppy let alone a 1 year old full grown adult. Having said that, I don’t think they are a bad treat. The ingredients are good. They will eat them, but it is unwieldy to try to deliver them during a training session. They’re so small they drop them and then go rooting around in the grass to find them. Breaks all concentration. These would be great for very small dogs. Maybe 20 lbs or less. They are smaller that the tip of my pinkie nail. So smaller mouths might be better. I’m off to try quack, quack, quack soft and chewy treats. They seem larger and perhaps easier to tear. Follow the adventure. See you there! … more

Good size for a large dog going through agility training which requires a lot of treats to learn new things.

    Puppy refuses to eat them

    By on

We just got a puppy a few weeks ago and got these hoping they would be her training treats. It’s nice that they are small and easy to use. However, my puppy is literally disgusted of these. She REFUSES to even come near one. At one point we tried to get her really excited and pumped up for what was in our hand and she ate it and spit it out. This may work for some dogs but for my puppy she hated it. Also, I know not intended for dogs but even my cat thought they were gross - she spit it out after she put it in her mouth. And she eats everything!

Great Medium Value Treat for Clicker Training

    By on

I love how small these treats are! Perfect for clicker training sessions. I brought my pup to a dog sports seminar this past weekend and used these treats for some of his working time. Easy to handle and yummy to my pup. They're probably not as high-value to him as something like chicken meat or cheese, but he was very motivated by them and they're much easier to handle.

    Great Training Bites

    By on

Just got a new puppy and found these at a pet store. Being a Chewy fan, had to see if they were on here. Ordering another flavor but my dog loves them and they are soft. Working great so far!!
