Muh boy learned !3! new tricks in a week because of these lil buggers. And Manny’s a big boy of 85lbs a shepherd mix…and we use these sparingly! But turns out we also learned he’s allergic to chicken sooo WE MUST FIND A NEW RECIPE DANG IT! But definitely recommend for those pups who are not sensitive to poultry. Thank goodness there’s so many other flavors offered by this brand.
My dog hates them and immediately spits them up. tried to mask them in PB and he still spits them up.
My dog thought these were delicious, great size if you want to give lots of rewards. But they gave him diarrhea (we tried both flavors we'd purchased), so gave away the third bag. Could just be his belly, but if you're dog has a sensitive stomach maybe not for you.
While I normally love Bocce's products, I am not sure the price of nearly 7 dollars is justified for two handfuls of training treats. I know my dog will love these treats, but my personal opinion is that this amount just is not worth the price.
These are the treats I use for daily grooming, for training, for bath time, and for little hair trims. Sushi, my 11 month old Shih Tzu, is a bit picky about treats, not all Bocce's treats are a hit with her (for example, she'd not crazy about their Santa S'mores), but these are her favorite. I'm also doing some dog sitting and the 4 year old mix loves these too. I've carried them in baggies for training out in the park, and I have noticed other dogs are very interested in these (although I've never given them out to those dogs). Even though it's a low-calorie treat, I sometimes even cut them in half, and I appreciate that their shape makes that very easy. The bag I ordered through Chewy was the same in look and smell as the one from my local dog shop.
he loves the mud pie training treats, but every time i tried to give him these he’d spit them out.
Love ALL Bocce training bites—our rescue dog has been in training mode for nearly a year now, and she will do anything for these little bites. They're easy to split (we give her halves, since she is on the small side) and have always been fresh. Plus, love supporting a brand made locally in NYC.
I love these for training. They're tiny so you can reward often without having to break up larger treats or over feed your dog. They also don't get super messy if you throw a few in your pocket for easy access. I don't notice any adverse affects on our dog's sensitive stomach... lots of other treats make him have some issues with stinky toots and runny number twos.
When we opened these training bites, we realized they are sized for very small puppies. They are tiny. There is nothing wrong with that, but when I took them out of the plastic bag to put it in the treat carrier on our dog's leash, they became very hard in a couple days and then she wouldn't eat them. I tried giving them to her and she licked them, attempted to chew briefly, and left them. We have a 10 month old lab/retriever mix.
My two dog's (who love treats) won't eat these... They also dried out instantly into little bone dry chunks... maybe I just got a bad bag? but I would not recommend these as good training treats.
