Are they bleached? How do they get so light colored?

These Water Buffalo Ear Dog Chews are not bleached. They go through multiple cleaning steps before heat drying. This process maintains the natural colors, which can vary from light to dark depending on natural color of the ears.

Choking hazard

My dogs love pig and cow ears, so I thought these would be great for them. They really enjoy them, but after a few times of having them, my 50lb dog chewed one about halfway and tried to swallow it whole. These act very similarly to rawhide and just kind of bunch up as they chew, not breaking apart like pig ears. Luckily, she dislodged it herself but I will not be buying these again, I've already watched my dogs almost choke on the knotted rawhides so it was pretty upsetting to see my dog hunker to the floor to get this out of her throat. These also cause a lot of gum bleeding. I would not advise these for medium to large dogs. My 20lb dog hasn't had any issue but I won't be risking it.

Big mess!!!

My pup loves most chews and will gobble them up. For these, she just shreds them and then the bits are everywhere - I think they're not as edible as other ear chews? Not sure. Tried a few times too and every time I gotta vacuum...

Athena's favorite snack

My almost 9 year old Pit Bull, Athena absolutely loves the water Buffalo ear chews!!! She thinks they're potato chips! The price, quality, and shipping from Chewy are a huge plus!

Great product

I bought these smaller chews for my Frenchie. I have two other large dogs and buy the larger cow ears for them. these are the perfect size for smaller dogs. They do NOT smell which is a huge plus for me.

My sweet pup wont eat it

The ears were paper thin and bleached , no actual substance or My cocker spaniel wont eat it. He would sniff it and then walked away. Maybe it does not have nice taste or smell. I am so disappointed that I am now stuck with a big bag of ear.

There are a great alternative to pig ears. Much less messy and my dog loves them!
