Not bad, my dog prefers the chips
I wanted to try these after buying a bag of small fish skin treats. I thought these would be perfect, the tasty fish and some teeth cleaning action. Alas, the dog refuses to love them. He’ll chew on one for 30 minutes and then abandon it. They’ve definitely stood the test of time against his puppy teeth though, the skin seems to be flexible and with high resilience so it doesn’t tear off easily. It’ll take theoretically him 7 or 8+ times to finish the entire stick but usually he looses interest around 3. The smell is not as bad as you would imagine, there is a definite wide fishy smell but it’s not that intense. I would still reserve these for outside only.

Great chews
I was looking for something different but still healthy for my dog to chew. I wasn't sure if he would like the cod skin, but he loved it! Very little fishy smell, too.
Lasted my moderate - heavy chewer less than 5 min
I appreciate the quality of these chews and I’m glad my pup got a boost of nutrition, but some of these reviews said these were long lasting chews and my dog demolished hers in less than 5 min. So there were no teeth cleaning benefits and it didn’t keep her busy for very long. My dog is not the heaviest chewer, either. She loved them, of course, but I don’t see the purpose of continuing to buy these. Kind of disappointing considering the price - I can get bully sticks for around the same unit price. If you have a moderate to heavy chewer and are looking for something to keep your dog busy, I would skip these.

These last longer than I expected! Usually my girl can gobble down fish skins before I blink. But these - maybe because they’re braided - take her at least 10-20 minutes to chew! She’s also 7, so slowing her chewing power down, but I stand by my comment that they last longer than a regular fish skin or chewy treat! And fish is so good for her coat and joints. I will keep buying these!
Dog treats
I got these for my dogs because I couldn't get their normal treats. I was surprised at how much they loved these. There is a little fishy smell to them, but not too bad. These fish treats are their new favorite treat!
Super Awesome
I have 2 Pit Bulls...75# and 60# and they loved these!!! It took them about 45 minutes to take these down. They are low odor...didn't make the dogs smell fishy, and didn't give either one bad belly or gas.
cod skin dog chews
just wondering how many big dog chewers like these? My dog loves fish treats / will chew everything / but will not chew these! I am really shocked she won't! I am trying to give these away to other dogs but no luck so far??????
Not sure what's up. Product is fine.
I"m not sure what's going on but my adult dogs ran from this treat as soon as they smelt it. Even the puppies didn't want it. It does have an odor but not that much. Not sure if it gets stronger when chewed. Just can't understand as they love Pizzles. I'll have to see about returning these.
Stinky but Yummy
My dogs love 'em! I cut them in half so they go a little longer as my 2 girls are ambitious chewers. Just don't let them lick or breath in your face after they eat one - Phew!!! Really a good quality product at a fair price. Highly recommend!
