I did not see any change in my dog

By Texasdoglover on Mar 28, 2020

I bought these for my old blind dog. He is on prescription doggy downers because he gets nervous when he loses me and barks constantly. I do not think these bones did anything for him. On the upside my other big dogs like them .

    Nail-Clipping Companion

    By on

If you want a high-strung dog to be docile, remember that this isn't Prozac. But, one of my dogs fights nail-clipping, despite repeated positive reinforcement and paw-play. I give him one of these and he will let me clip and smooth precisely 2 nails in a day, which is a massive improvement over never clipping any nails ever.

    Worked well

I’m training my daughters terrier. My “Grand-Dog”, Penny, she’s a bit crazy at times. These helped tremendously. I gave her a mini to just chill her a little, and it was calming. Nothing huge but I could see a difference. (She’s 35lb) If she was really crazy, I’d give Two at a time, this maybe worked to extend the calm for a longer period. I’d say she was mellow. It chilled her enough, so she rested. One day I needed to get things done. I gave her the medium and she dozed for 1-1/2 hours! I was in and out of the room, typically with her at my heels!!! I could get something accomplished. Yay! She didn’t follow me around until she’d had a good doggie nap! I Was thrilled! She’s very smart I’m training my daughters terrier. This would be great for a nervous car rider, and probably prevent car sickness. I just don’t know how often to give, if it can be repeated later in the day. (?) I don’t see why not but that’s why I use the Mini’s. The mini is great because you can give a small amount and spread the calming a bit longer. If your dog can have multiple!!!!! Just DO NOT Give Mini’s to a large Dog like a German Shepherd or Lab etc. they could just swallow it. They could have multiple medium bones if they are large enough. I’ve reordered already. I think they help and I Love that it’s natural. I’m a groomer, I use lavender on my anxious dogs. It helps tremendously! And I know I can repeat my oil after a while. … more

    Seemed to work

    By on

I got these for my senior dog who is a Jack Russel terrier, she tends to shake and make weird noises and is just overall anxious and sometimes it just nice to find things to calm her down. She doesnt have the best teeth but she didnt seem to struggle eating these. The only reason I dont think I would give this product 5 stars is because, at least for her, the effects didnt seem to last very long. It was like by the time you noticed she was actually calm and relaxed she was on her way back up. Maybe trying a bigger bone with more of a dosage would help but I did notice a differnce with these!

My little guy loves them and they didn't upset his sensitive tummy. So we're getting some more just in case they help at all with separation anxiety.

    Mini BONIES

    By on Top 100 Contributor

Overall I’m pleased with these little bones. Are they perfect? No. They’re decent treats though. I don’t use these on a regular basis, so I can’t say that they actually help with calming. With our first pack, we didn’t notice any calming effects. For the most part I am pleased with the ingredients. There are a few that are questionable, but since I’m not giving these daily, it’s not a major concern. That being said though, I will only give these supervised. The mini size BONIES are perfect for dogs 10lbs and under. The mini sized ones are in fact MINI sized. They’re approximately the size of a pinky finger. The bones themselves are pretty firm. I can break it in half, but they’re not super soft Overall I’m pleased with these little bones. Are they perfect? No. They’re decent treats though. worth experimenting with

    By on

I'm not totally certain these little treats actually calmed my dog down, but I am willing to buy a few more to see if they have a positive effect during the winter when we crank up the fireplace. She is deathly afraid of a crackling fire. :( It would be great if they calmed her down.

A Hit with Young and Old

    By on

My 4 month old corgi and almost 10 year old corgi both just gobbled these up. No idea if it worked with my senior dog, as she's always been so calm you hardly know she's around. And the puppy? He's fairly chill as it is too. So no idea if these work but my dogs sure liked them!
