What is this rope made of? Is it cotton or is it a synthetic fabric? My parrot has begun to pick at and shred the perch after only a couple of weeks. Should I be concerned about the potential for a blockage? Is it digestible fiber?

How do I measure for the rope. Not sure is it the width of the cage.

Soft on the feet

My Senegal parrot took to this perch right away. She had been sleeping on a wide sisal rope, but switched to this one right away, which surprised me because she is always stubborn, suspicious and resistant to anything new in her cage.

chewed perches?

I love these perches for my conures, twisty & springy & soft. I find they can get quite dirty & I found the perfect solution. I wrap my perch in vetsafe elastic self adhesive tape. It keeps the perch from being chewed on & causing problems plus it's easier to keep clean. If it gets too dirty just wrap more around it. The perch should last a good long time.

Bird Perch

I ordered the wrong perch for my cockatiel . Meant to order a smaller, thinner one like others that he has. I decided to try it in his cage and he loves it. Glad that I made a mistake.

Bird Perch

I got this to replace my parrot's old and worn rope perch. It works quite well and, though it is a little too long for the cage width, I was able to bend it to fit and it makes him maneuver a little more to get around. He took to it right away.

My cockatiel loves thicker perches since he is older and needs a steadier footing. We noticed within a day of installing the perch that he's been enjoying sitting there and using it for a softer resting spot.

Great adjustable perch

Well made and strong. I bought it to put on top of my grey's large cage. She likes to climb around up top and it's a rounded top that didn't come with a perch. I mounted it across so it's more comfortable for her to sit.

Variety is the spice of life!

This keeps life interesting for my Umbrella Cockatoo's cage arrangement. Strong and stable enough to hold her. Flexible enough for her to adjust the position. Durable enough to last for about 6 months before she shreds.
