No, neither Vita Chem Fresh nor Vita Chem Marine needs to be refrigerated. They do need to be kept in a cool location.
Yes, it will extend the shelf life of both vitamin formulas if kept refrigerated.
Fish have extremely permeable skin and do absorb the vitamins via osmosis and benefit from the nutrient intake. The invertebrate animals in many aquariums today will also benefit from adding Vitamins directly to the water.
My tanks have always thrived with healthy fish. When I started using this I was amazed how my fish seemed to improve in vitality. The extra boost of vitamins really took their health to a new level. Easy to use. I add it to the water once a week or when adding new fish to boost the immune system.
We've been using this stuff as a vitamin for our African Cichlids for a few years they have brighted up
Got this product 2 days ago and let me tell ya, it works. So, I have a 5 gallon guppy tank, a 20 gallon mixed glofish/freshwater tropical tank, and a 45 gallon fancy goldfish tank. Their colors pop and all my fin babies have loads of energy. Beautiful! Thanks Chewy. Yes, I recommend this product and I recommend Chewy.
Honestly you need to see the results to believe it! My fish love the taste--the vitamins have gotten them through extreme health issues and now I continue to feed them Vita chem daily. Keep it refrigerated--soak food pellets in the vitamins until saturated and feed to them!
It was open when arrived it makes the water yellow and there is debris in there. I will never buy.
Excellent product, easy to use, the fish appear healthier and that is what I wanted so it again is a great supplement product at a great price and the amount available was good. thank you.
Easy to use vitamins for my aquarium. Fish seem to like it too.
After almost 30 yrs in the hobby I finally discovered this through a bona fide fish professional. He shares an abundance of useful knowledge making YT vids(adding this to their food by soaking, and if a fish is really ill he also adds it directly to the water. See directions on bottle for both)... His fish don't just live for years, they absolutely thrive. I'm thrilled Chewy is carrying it now!
I only started using this product a few weeks ago as my betta contracted fin rot (water parameters fine, large tank, planted, no idea why betta is sick) and this was recommended by someone. While this product wont cure fin rot, I can already see a difference as my fish's color is brighter/deeper. I wish I had used this from the beginning to help ensure my fish has optimal food. I soak pellets, bloodworms, brine shrimp in this and then give it to the fish.
I’ve been using VitaChem for a couple of years now, and the fish seem to love the stuff and are thriving. I just discovered it on Chewy, so now I have a quick, well-priced option. Thanks, Chewy!
