Bravecto is the only flea and tick treatment to last 12 weeks* with one convenient chew or topical dose. That means nearly 3X longer lasting protection than common monthly treatments. The long-lasting efficacy breaks the flea life cycle and drives fleas into extinction with one dose. And, Bravecto kills ticks faster, killing 100% of attached ticks in 12 hours – whereas other treatments can take over 48 hours.
After you give your pet Bravecto, it quickly reaches tissue fluids just under your dog's or cat's skin. When fleas and ticks feed, they ingest Bravecto and die. Bravecto Chew for Dogs starts killing fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) within 2 hours, and kills ticks (Ixodes ricinus) within 12 hours. Bravecto Chew for Dogs kills fleas, prevents flea infestations, and kills ticks (black-legged tick, American dog tick and brown dog tick) for 12 weeks. Bravecto Chew for Dogs also kills lone star ticks for 8 weeks. Bravecto Topical Solution for Cats kills 100% of fleas within 8 hours. Apply Bravecto Topical Solution for Cats to the base of the skull for full-body protection for 12 weeks. Bravecto Topical Solution for Cats kills fleas, prevents flea infestations, and kills ticks (black-legged tick) for 12 weeks. Bravecto Topical Solution for Cats also kills American dog ticks for 8 weeks.
There are no problems reported in field trials in dogs and cats that received Bravecto alongside other commonly used medicines. However, your veterinarian is your pet's health care expert, so it is always best to discuss all of your pet's treatments with them, whether prescription or over-the-counter supplements.
Yes.
In a well-controlled laboratory study, Bravecto was shown to be safe in Collies known to be MDR-1 gene-deficient. Collies with the defect were administered 3 times the deliverable dose and had no adverse events.
It is always best to discuss your pets' medical treatment with your veterinarian. However, Bravecto has a high margin of safety. In safety studies, Bravecto was tested in healthy dogs and puppies at up to 5X the recommended dose at 8-week intervals for 3 treatments. Therefore, no adverse effects are expected if dogs are inadvertently treated twice with the recommended dose within 12 weeks, but please contact your veterinarian.

As usual, Chewy provided quick and easy service. My senior dog has decided he no longer likes chewable Bravecto and my vet didn't have any topical Bravecto. Fortunately, Chewy did and got it to me quickly.
I just switched to the topical and no time yet to know if it works well.
We have a dachshund. Because he is a low rider, he seems to pick up a lot of fleas. We see about 20 dead or dying fleas around the water bowl each day. They fall off, crawl around slowly and die. He has had no negative reaction to the medicine. (FYI, when I try to use apostrophes in the review, it says I cannot use invalid characters.)
Seemed to do the job but I think the pill form works better. If your dog will not cooperate and swallow the pill, this is the next best thing
First of all. The lid on this product would not come off. I ended up having to poke a hole in it with a needle Then within 24 hours after applying this product my dog was vomiting all over our living room. She couldn't keep anything down. She became listless. and had a strange odor omitting from her breath and body that lasted over 2 weeks. We ended up having to take her to our veterinarian where she had to be treated with an injection and medication. This cost us over $100. I regret tgat i have reason to say I will not be using this product ever again. I do not consider Chewy responsible for this unfortunate and extremely distressing incident.
We have been using this product for several years for my Australian Cattle Dog, Sprout. We live in northern Maine where ticks are plentiful. Sprout has never had a tick since we started using Bravecto topical. We use the topical because he would not eat the one that you can break up and put in their food. Topical works awesome.
Work's great for my Senior dog Miguel. Lasts for 12 week's that is so wonderful! He doesn't mind when I apply it. I just make sure not to touch his back until he is very dry.
Just started using this on our 111/2 yr old boy. He has had reactions to other flea/tick meds in the past, & he hates having them applied. But since having Bravecta applied he is doing great!! Love the fact we only have to apply every 3 months
Seemed to work okay the first time we used it, but now it does absolutely nothing. Two weeks after application and I'm finding fleas on both the dog and cat (bought the feline version as well). Flea meds were applied to both animals at the same time, and both the dog and cat have fleas.
This product keeps ticks away for 3 months. Prefer to use a topical and not oral.
