Why is Bravo making canned foods?
At Bravo we’ve always believed in simplicity, quality and choice. Our new Canine Cafe and Feline Cafe lines provide high - quality, simple limited - ingredient formulas for those pet parents who prefer to feed canned foods.
Are these new products raw?
No, all of our Canine and Feline Cafe products are cooked. However, like our raw diet products, they are made with quality muscle meats and poultry and contain no fillers, preservatives, artificial flavors or meat and poultry meal or grain.
Can I heat these products?
Our Canine Cafe and Feline Cafe products are ready to serve right from the can, but can be warmed slightly if that is what your dog/cat prefers. Do not heat the food in the can. We suggest you transfer it to a microwave safe bowl or dish for heating in the microwave or a pan for gentle heating on the stove. Do not overheat/overcook and feed a hot food to your dog or cat - always try to bring it back to room temperature before serving. Please refrigerate any unused/unheated portions in an airtight container.
Are the ingredients all from the USA? (Anything made from ingredients sourced in China)?
Bravo never ever sources ingredients from China. We source our ingredients from reputable suppliers in the USA and countries other than China. You can find Country of Origin information for all of our products by visiting the respective Canine Cafe and Feline Cafe product pages.
Are they GMO free?
We use ingredients known to be GMO free.
Do they contain any wheat, soy or corn?
No, they do not contain wheat, soy or corn. They are all completely grain - free.
Do the cat formulas have any taurine?
All of our Feline Cafe formulas have all of the essential vitamins and minerals, including added taurine. The amount of taurine meets the requirement for complete and balanced for all life stages.
Can I feed them to a puppy (kitten)?
All of our Canine Cafe and Feline Cafe products are suitable for all life stages. Please see our feeding guide for serving sizes, although it is typically suggested to let puppies and kittens eat as much as they need in the early stages.
Do they contain antibiotics or hormones?
No, Bravo products are always made from clean meats and poultry, which means no added antibiotics. There are no added hormones in any of the poultry. Federal law allows the use of hormones when raising beef or lamb so we can’t guarantee that the farmer did not use medicinal hormones when the animal was raised.
Are there any additives or preservatives?

I thought raw was supposed to be better for my dog/cat?
What to feed one’s companion animals is a very personal choice. There are those pet parents who are passionate about feeding raw, while others prefer to feed a canned option. At Bravo we’ve always believed in simple, limited ingredient formulas, made from top quality ingredients from trusted sources - nothing from China - and providing a choice of protein type and formula type (stews vs. dinners). Our new canned food lines provide all of those benefits to pet parents who prefer to feed canned foods as we do to those pet parents who prefer to feed raw.
Does this product meet AAFCO standards?

Less than half in the bag
By Ramona on Nov 4, 2020
My dog loves this food. But, it is so expensive and you don't get a full bag. As a matter of fact the bag is less than half full. Most of the time it comes all crunched up. Then my dog won't eat it. In this last order all the pieces were in tack. I'm going to have to stop buying it eventually you don't get your money's worth.

So far both my dogs love this food. They lick their bowls clean. I do see a big difference in their poop. I will continue buying.

The meat is here!
By Rescue on Sep 3, 2019
You can instantly see all the ingredients as soon as you open the bag. There are large pieces of soft meat that I haven’t found in any other dehydrated food, the whole bag is like this! I will definitely buy this brand again!

My 2 dogs seemed to like.

My 2 dogs really seemed to like this. I believe it to be a good alternative to kibble. I will buy again.

guys like it
By sandy3611 on Jun 2, 2019
the pork and beef need to rehydrate for about 30 minutes each. the turkey for only about 20 minutes. the green beans and cranberries do not digest in the rehydrated whole form so before adding water, i take a minute to pick them out and pulverized them into a powder by easily smashing between my fingers. then just add the warm water and wait. since the beef and pork are a bit denser than the turkey and do not hydrate as easily, about half way thru rehydration time, i take another minute, use a fork and stab thru the food in the bowl to help the rehydration process along. sounds cumbersome, but it isn't - only takes a minute while rehydrating.

Mickey likes it.
By SeaSquared on Jun 9, 2019 Top 1000 Contributor
My dog has liked the Bravo Beef and Turkey recipes and I decided to try the pork. He really likes it and cleans his dish each time. I rotate the pork with the other two recipes. He has never liked kibble so I was happy to find something that he will always eat. The Bravo dinners look like actual stew and not like canned dog food. It's also easy to take with us when we travel. I'm happy that Chewy carries Bravo because none of our local pet stores carry it and it's reasonably priced for a freeze dried product.

My 3 kiddos love this food
By remy1 on Jun 17, 2019 Top 1000 Contributor
My 3 kiddos really enjoy the taste of this food. It looks great you can see the vegetable pieces and know what they are. The pork pieces are bite size. This will be my new go to food. It would be even better if chewy would start carrying the 6# bag. It would be perfect if bravo would make an 8 or even 10 pound bag.

My dogs did not like it.
By Doxiema on Jul 14, 2019
My three dogs did not like it and two of my dogs are not picky. It might have been the flavor but the texture was odd too.

pickiest puppy ever likes it
By Yyampier on Mar 21, 2019
My puppy pretty much doesn’t like dog food. We tried more that 15 brands and he only likes Primal freeze dried which is awesome but expensive. Looking for a food that was similar I found Bravo. I mix it with Primal and he eats EVERYTHING. Still trying to find a more affordable good quality food, but for now this one is helping me with the cost. It has pieces of meat!
