I foster cats with our local shelter and many of the fosters we get need their weight monitored daily. Prior to getting this scale I was making a kitchen scale with a plate on it work for small kittens, but that only works for a short time before they get too big and wiggly. I had been debating between this scale and another model that was only $60. Many of the reviews for the cheaper one said the scales platform wasn't supper effective if the animal wasn't in the dead-center of it, so I opted to spend the extra money to try this one. I'm glad I did! The scale is really stable and the trap is very big. It's really easy to get a kitten/cat on the scale and either hold them still for a quick read, or put a dab of food on the platform and they happily stand there to enjoy a quick treat while being weighed. I love that it doesn't need to be plugged in and can be set up anywhere. It is a bit bigger than I expected, but still fits in a closet with no issue. The display is quick to read and easy to read. The surface is easy to clean. Overall, worth the premium price over the cheaper scales. Works great for skittish and wiggly kittens!
I’m very glad I purchased this scale. It’s light enough to move if need be and perfect for my dog’s size. It has helped me to monitor weight loss for little dog. Makes my vet and me happy.
Excellent product that assures us our little 10 year old Yorkie maintains his weight
Works great, easy to use. glad it came with batteries
The scale seems accurate compared to the vet's. Check weights weigh consistently week to week. I have only had the scale a few weeks but it seems like a quality unit.
Fast delivery and great products. Unbelievably fast and always just what I order. Very high quality and accurate scale.
I bought the scale at my vet's recommendation to monitor an ailing cat's weight. Based on what I know of my dog's weight from recent visits to the vet, I think the scale is under-weighing both animals. To track significant changes, this isn't necessarily problematic, but it does limit the value of the scale.
Scale is a little pricey but helped me with pretty accurate reading for foster kittens. Fast shipping!
I used treats to bribe my semi feral cats onto the scale. I love that is big enough For my friendly kitty who loves to lie down and survey her kingdom from it. I placed a soft blanket on it there for them.
The scale is exactly what my Vet hoped I would be able to find at retail. He initially said buy a baby scale ... but this one is much better suited for small pets. It has a read out to three decimal points and holds the weight plus has a memory function. Not inexpensive but definitely worth the price.
