    Birds love it!

    By on

I've seen a few squirrels trying to get to the suet, but they leave. I don't know if it is because they don't like the peppery taste or because they can't get to it through the cage, but it probably doesn't matter... the birds eat 2 cakes a day and don't really give the squirrels a shot!

    ...& no birds either...

    By on

Since I hung this out with my feeder the birds haven't touched it & now even avoid the seed feeder it hangs with. It has been out over a week. The weather has been rough enough here that all my other feeders are busy. What next???

    squirrels love this stuff

    By on

We bought this hoping it would stop our squirrels from eating all of our suet but they love this more than the "regular" suet. We actually had one eating the suet and three other ones on the ground licking up whatever was dropped (we actually took photos of this happening) and they just couldn't get enough of it so obviously we won't buy this again. Thank you

    Nope, didn’t work.

Overnight the cake disappeared. I know I had secured the hanger which I got at the same time. I was looking to deter a Blue Jay. It might have been a raccoon. For 28 yrs never even knew they were around. I didn’t bother going below deck to see. The adult has no fear of humans.

The squirrels of North Jersey LOVE this!!!!

    By on

Sadly, this did not deter our squirrels at all. They are eating it as quickly as the regular suet. Not giving the birds a chance to enjoy.

Even the black squirrels like this!

The gray squirrels seemed to not like this suet but we have black squirrels in this area and they will eat anything.

    Suet for Birds Not Squirrels

    By on

I purchased this because squirrels have been eating all my suet. I love feeding birds such as woodpeckers and cardinals but squirrels have nene eating the suet. This suet still draws woodpeckers and other birds but the squirrels avoid it.

    Birds mob suet.

    By on

The birds are enjoying the suet; I have not seen the squirrels try it, as yet, but hope that is because they do not like it. Please consider carrying hulled sunflower seed. I live in a condo where space is at a premium, and cleaning up hulls off my patio would be a pain.
