I was thrilled when I bought my first "Just Birds" cake. Neither my birds nor the squirrels would touch it. A couple of nuthatches took a nibble and that's all. Seems very odd that the reviews are all so different.
These seemed to last a little longer than usual. I'm guessing the squirrels didn't get to it after all.
My woodpeckers ignore it, but the squirrels just hang on the basket and chow down! The squirrels take one down in 2 to 3 days. There’s a reason it’s cheap!
I got bold and moved my suet feeder after using the other hot pepper suet, which the squirrels wouldn't go near. All day today, a squirrel was chowing down on this one. Will be going back to the other once this one is gone.
The squirrels have no problem hanging off the suet cage and muching away at the suet for a good 10 minutes before my dogs scare it off. I don't think there's enough pepper in these cakes.
I was skeptical, not having tried the pepper suets before, but the claims are true. The woodpeckers and smaller birds are enjoying it, and the squirrels haven't even attempted to bother it, even though they're in a 4 suet feeder easily accessible. Impressed! I will continue to purchase.
Birds like the suet, but the squirrels do too. I even have squirrel food out for him, but he still prefers the suet.
I bought this as an alternative to my usual suet. The birds would have nothing to do with it. A waste of money.
Squirrels still eat the stuff. I have yet to find a suet they will completely avoid.
It works! Fair price. Came the next day. Brown's Feed is local and in PA. Glad to have them onboard with Chewy.
