Picky ol Retiree
Diamond is an old retired race horse. Her normal food is pasture grass and senior sweet feed pellets. She needs joint medication. She picks the Reasons cookies out from her normal pellets and eats them first.
Horse loves them.
Thought we would give these a try. Our beautiful 22 year old Roan Rescue had shown so much improvement since using these. Instead of walking slowly everywhere, she now trots and runs. Can't tell you how happy we are we found these.
Purchased for old bunny
Our 10+yr old, indoor bunny loves them. He has been eating them as treats in morning and evening and begs for them when I pass his crate. He even seems more sprightly.
Winston loves these and I love them for the joint support.
I feed my horse Buckeye products and with him hitting his 18th birthday this year, I just wanted to give him a little extra joint support...I am giving him 40gms a day as recommended and I am anxious to see if he seems more comfortable....this is a perfect and tastey way to give him a little extra boost. Much more economical that feeding a full blown joint supplement when he is not really ready for that yet. One back lasts me days feeding it as just a supplement to his grain, less if I give him some as treats haha.
Good supplement, just not for me.
I used to use this supplement and did like it for the most part. I just hate the fact that there is no exact measurements or scoop that comes with the bag. You just have to eyeball how much you're giving your horses, which I don't like at all. I did run into the issue of my horses choking on this stuff as well a handful of times. So, I started soaking it to eliminate that problem. I eventually did switch to something else because this stuff just isn't my thing.
Horse and Burros LOVE these
I tried these out for my OTTB, who has a sticky hip.. Thought it might help to make him more comfortable at certain gates, and it does seem to help a bit! Hes smoother at a trot and he LOVES these. I also have been giving them to our burros, two of whom have some joint issues, and I think it helps and they also LOVE them! Its so nice to give something that they enjoy that actually offers them some relief.
Nah... not a treat at all
I typically like Buckeye products (or rather, my horse does and thrives on it) but this "treat" is not a hit. Very small pieces which the horse find distasteful. I can't get him to eat them from my hand. I am now trying to hide it in its feed to get the benefit of the vitamins but they apparently taste bad enough for him to turn his nose on his bucket. I won't buy this again.
Horses love them
The horses love these treats and hopefully they are helping them with their joints.
My horse loves them and I see a difference when I give them to him. Overall really happy with them! Will always have them in stock in my barn!
Too small - too many needed for 1 serving
I would not buy these again. Each piece is too small & you have to feed 2 big handfuls. Theoretically, the bag would be empty in 3 days.
