Opening the bag, this stuff smells terrific! They are not regular horse pellets, they are super hard like dog food. I purchased this with the intention of getting some weight on my older gelding. He eagerly sniffs them, but spits it out - maybe due to how hard the pellets are? He normally does not Opening the bag, this stuff smells terrific! My fat pony loves them, so he gets a handful or two as a treat to use the bag up. … more

My yearling struggled with hair coat and looking ribby. I started out with 2 pounds of this and 2 pounds of the grow n win, now I'm giving half that amount. My adult horses only get 2 cups of each, every day and they look excellent

MY OTTB IS DOING GREAT

We have been struggling with my ottbs weight for quite some time now. My trainer recommended we put him on a weight supplement. My assistant trainer recommended this one. He been on it for about a month now and he has gained a considerable amount of weight. He gets 1.5 scoops of grain in the A.M. , 1 scoop in the afternoon, and 1.5 scoops in the P.M. (along with free choice hay and turn out). Even with all of that he was considerably underweight. After adding the supplement ,in just a month, I’ve gotten a million questions asking how I did it. I noticed a difference in under two weeks. He works six days a week and competes a considerable amount with me in the 1m jumpers. Helps put on weight with OTTB

My daughter got an OTTB from a thoroughbred rescue who was very underweight and it turned out had ulcers ( common in OTTB). Treating for the ulcers and putting her on Ultimate Finish has made quite a difference in 6 months.
