Will this product help remove mats from cats fur?
Answer by ChewyMay 12, 2019
This spray will help to moisten hair however, combing would be necessary to de-tangle matted hair.

Is it better to spray it on kitties from reallyyyy close, say like an inch away (for better penetration//reaching down to skin, and more precision in aim, ((especially behind the head)) OR should I spray it from further away creating a thinner layer?
Answer by ChewyApr 11, 2021
It is best to spray close enough to be able to rub or brush the solution in.

Kitty is fresh

My cat enjoyed being brushed (I sprayed it onto the brush instead of directly onto her) . It really helped freshen her up and she seemed happy afterward

No-Fluff Results

I should have stuck with our old brand that comes out as a foam. This just soaks the fur and even with brushing didn't remove that greasy look that white fur necks sometimes get

Good for cleaning elderly cats

Of course a real bath does a better job, but most cats don't like baths so waterless shampoo is helpful. Although, spraying them can be a bad idea especially if you use a spray water bottle when cats are being bad. This helps for my elderly cat that doesn't groom herself as well in her old age - her fur gets greasy looking & this helps.

Boo-tiful Boo Kitty!

Our senior Ragdoll does a pretty good jog of grooming herself, however the scruffy area under her neck and the front part of her chest needs a bit of help from the spray on shampoo. After reading other reviews, I knew the spraying sound would most likely be an issue. What I did instead was moisten a paper towel with water and then Applied the shampoo to the paper towel. I was able to rub the shampoo in and also moisten the fur enough to clean the more soiled areas. It worked well! Sorry, no pics, but it was pretty well tolerated.

No extra fragrance

This is absolutely the best waterless shampoo I've tried. I mainly use it for cleaning and moisturizing my cats paws, they have long fur in their toe pads and there is a definite difference in softness. The best part is that it doesn't have any unpleasant fragrance! I personally can barely smell it at all which is perfect.

Sent a replacement!

My only complaint before in my 3 star review is that the bottle came 1/3rd of the way empty due to shipping, they sent me a free replacement and it came vacuum sealed this time, and full. :-) thank you

Nice and Cat Likes It

This waterless shampoo has an extremely mild, natural scent and makes my cat’s fur feel like silk. Also, he normally hates being directly sprayed, but for some reason he doesn’t mind it with this spray. A winner.

Great waterless shampoo

This does an amazing job of cleaning. My Nina gets oily on her back and this takes up the oil nicely and makes her fur clean and fluffy.

makes my cats fur soft

I have bought this for my cats because they love to be inside and they’re always dirty. I purchased this to help clean them and it works. It cleans up their coat of fur and makes their fur soft
