Where can I get replacement brushes
Answer by ChewyJun 16, 2017
The only replacement part this toy has is the treat rings.

What is the difference between this and the sportsmen version? Is it just color?
Answer by ChewyMay 11, 2018
The difference between the two items are what type of chewers they're recommended for and the available sizes of each toy. The PetSafe Sportsmen Bristle Bone Dog Toy is available in two sizes (Medium and Large) recommended for strong chewers. The Busy Buddy Bristle Bone Dog Toy is available in multiple sizes (X-Small, Small, Medium and Large) recommended for average chewers.

Love this toy

I have had one of these for every dog I've owned. This toy is pure genius. The dog loves to chew on it because of the treat hidden between the bristles and massaging rings. The bristles help to clean the teeth and the rubber wheels massage the gums so dental care is happening while the dog works to get the treats. The Nylabone itself is practically impervious to even the most vigorous chewers.

Dog Loves This

My dog loves this. Was a little hesistant because he is known for tearing things up quickly but even the rubber pieces are still intact at the first chew session. He kept chewing at it well after the treat part of was gone. Overall win!

Disappointed

This tough dog chew didn’t last through the first play. The slack space left after consuming the rawhide allowed for bristles to start coming out of the brushes. It appeared to be such a sturdy toy, but brushes fail.

Good chewing workout, but strange smell

It is a good idea and works pretty well for keeping them occupied and not just gobbling down a treat instantly. The issue I’ve found is that after the first few uses, my dog, who is completely food motivated, smelled it and didn’t seem to be interested. The bone has that strange sweet smell that some rubber or plastic toys can have, and I think it overpowers the smell of the treats, especially if they sit on the toy for any amount of time. It seems like my dog can’t even tell there’s a treat on it and so I’ve had to get creative to get him to use it.

love hate these

My pups absolutely love these, I had a lot of trouble getting the right size discs, and if you don’t tighten the end and they chew that part the bone is ruined because you can’t get it back together. But I will buy again, doggy favorite (even if you buy the wrong size!) would be 5 stars if the sizing was easier

My dog love it!

My dog really enjoys it. I wish the treats could stay last longer because my dog finished the treats in the middle of the toy in a few minutes.

Waste of money

I thought this would be a great toy for my labs, one is eight months old and the other is three years old. Apparently I did not get the bone back on tight enough after placing the chew disk and the puppy gnawed off the portion that you screw back into the bone. I had to throw the toy away as the separate parts were too small for the girls to chew. This was a waste of money for me. If you buy this toy be certain to screw the parts on tightly or it might be ruined.

Busy Buddy is a great toy/chew

Over the years, all our dogs have loved Busy Buddy treats. I bought this large one thinking that our new St Bernard would love it also. She does. Only she likes the smaller one we have for our Bichon and our Bichon loves this huge one that she can hardly lift. They are durable and can be cleaned by soaking.

He loves it, But solved it

This seems to work as intended, but make sure you really screw the bone back together tightly. He figured out how to unscrew it in less than 15 minutes and can get the disk out with no problems at all. Good product so far, but it is the first night. We’ll see how long it lasts

Great toy to keep a big dog busy for awhile

The nice part of this toy is your ability to replace the 'interesting' rawhide disks inside it. The dogs don't get so much rawhide that they get sick, but they have a lot of fun chewing it out. They've gotten it unscrewed once of twice, but that's out of dozens of deployments. With four large dogs, if I hand out one each, they spend an hour chewing and stealing from each other.
