Perfect Toy!
By Content on Feb 12, 2019
We struggle in buying Molly toys because she either a.) obliterates them within a day, whereby we've taken to calling them 5-minute toys; or b.) she has no interest in them - these are typically the rubber chew toys with no challenge. We've actually stopped buying any new toys for the past few months because so often they are destroyed, we leave a review about how easily our aggressive chewer destroyed the "undestroyable" and feel guilty that Chewy issues a credit as a result. It's not their fault nothing seems to mollify our Molly. We decided to give a new toy another attempt and I saw this bottle and thought, why not? It's not their fault nothing seems to mollify our Molly. We decided to give a new toy another attempt and I saw this bottle and thought, why not? Within the first few minutes, she was frustrated and occupied wholly by this toy. She hurled it back and forth, tugged the cord, took to throwing it off the bed to knock loose a treat, and spent the evening being challenged by this new toy. She hasn't genuinely figured it out, but has accidentally knocked a few out so it shouldn't be too long before she has it mastered, as she's a really smart little Australian Cattle Dog. The bottle is big enough that she can't fit the body into her mouth and clamp down. The screw-in base is deep enough that it doesn't pop loose just by being flung around. The rubber grippy on the neck prevents her from chomping it open. And the rope is the perfect thickness to fill most of the opening. If you've an aggressive chewer - this is perfect. If yours gets bored easily without a challenge, meet the match. … more

Awesome busy toy
By Cindylouwho on Jan 31, 2019
This keeps our 9 week old weimador busy for hours on end. We fill it with his puppy food and he is entertained for a looooooong time. Super fun to watch your puppy figure out!! I would highly recommend! Worth every penny paid you won’t be sorry. One of his favorites!

If a dog figures it out, they LOVE it.

I am a professional pet care provider and often have dogs in my home of all sizes, breeds and ages. Some dogs don't "get" this toy. But the ones who do just can't leave it alone. I had one dog for more than a week who would "ask" for the toy every evening about the same time--about halfway between dinner and bedtimes. It kept her occupied for more than an hour. It can be noisy for dogs that drag, roll or throw it around. But some dogs can stay put on their bed with it and still get out the treats, and it's much quieter. In any case, I don't mind the noise if it's keeping them happy and occupied. One thing: until I saw a picture of this toy on Chewy's website, I had no idea that the bottom I am a professional pet care provider and often have dogs in my home of all sizes, breeds and ages. Great for smart dogs
By Helios on Jan 17, 2019
My Catahoula mix LOVES to throw his toys around and this is perfect for that. I can fill this bottle with his meal for the day and it will take him hours to get it all out. He loves this thing more than life itself, and I want like 5 more

Great Entertainment
By Kelly on Dec 13, 2018
My pup is a 6 year old, recent rescue. He has trouble figuring out how to get the food/treats out of this, but it keeps him engaged and as long as I help him, he can do it. The Tug-A-Jug toy itself is good quality. I do find the bottom difficult to open, so I almost always fill the treats through the top, which takes time.

my dog wasnt interested
By creamsmom on Dec 14, 2018
not sure if this is good or not ... my dog just had no interest in it what so ever. rope was too hard and big for her to pull to get the treats out. i probably chose the wrong toy for a senior dog. i think it would be great for a younger dog though

Ok toy but expected more
By JazziBelle on Oct 15, 2018
I got this toy for my yorkie-poo. I thought when purchasing this that the rope was going to be withstand the aggressive chewing. I thought it was going to be made of tougher material. Within the first 30 minutes (no lie, 30 MINUTES) the rope was chewed in half. Then the bottle is TOO hard and too big for him so he quickly lost interest. It doesnt work without the rope. Great concept and probably would work much better with a tougher rope material.

Greet interactive toy for smart dogs This toy is great for those dogs that need to be challenged I own a border collie and she loves this toy but she is not a chewer I love this toy for her I can change up the treats that I put inside and depending on the size of them depends on how long it takes her to get them out highly recommend

Not good for power chewers
By LegosMom on Nov 27, 2018
I bought this for my lab mix in hopes it would provide enough mental stimulation to wear him out. It worked... for a day. He DESTROYED this in less than 48 hours. Rope- gone. Ball- gone. Plastic bottle- broken apart. If you have a big dog with a strong jaw, this isn’t for them.

Clever idea, but materials not right.
By MayDay on Nov 17, 2018
I loved the idea of this toy and thought it would keep my dog busy many times. Well, the first time he tried it, he completely chewed the rope off which makes it useless. Too bad it's not made with more indestructible materials, and too bad for me that I've spent $15 for something worthless.
