I ended up switching to Applpaws after two of my three cats exhibited allergic symptoms to Blue Buffalo True Solutions Digestive Care, which they had been on for some time under the previous name, Blissful Belly. The allergic symptoms have dissipated (no more itchy rashy skin) and interestingly, significantly less vomiting. Bonus prizes.

Being this is a premium brand, we buy these bags and use as treats, and both babies love and look forward to getting a hand or bowl full. Since since they are also premium food, I do not worry about them having too much, they can eat all they want. They have tiki cat as their regular dry food that we leave out all the time.

Has flaxseed. Made my cat sick!

I was really excited about the dry food for its limited ingredients and was planning to use it as a snack option for my cat. I gave it to my cat only for 3 days about 1/4 cup a day and then he started to have diarrhea! Really stinky ones for a week as I tried process of elimination to cut out everything he eats one by one to figure out what was bothering him. He eats homemade cat food that just chicken and liver/hearts as his primary food for a few years now but that doesn’t bother him and he also eats a wet canned food that also doesn’t bother him. So I decided maybe it’s this new dry food and read the ingredients again and found that it contains flaxseed and a light bulb went off. I didn’t think that would be a problem when I purchased it. But now it does make sense since it does the same to humans. It took a few days for the diarrhea to stop but poor baby was in discomfort. I made sure he was hydrated and watched him closely. Why put unnatural ingredients in pet food? That’s not what they eat in the wild! It’s a waste of money purchasing pet food that causes harmful to our babies. So disappointed.

It took a day for all three of my babies to sample and switch from kitten (different brand) to adult dry kibble by Applaws. But now they absolutely love it as much as the Applaws canned tuna and chicken flavors that they devour. I'm thrilled knowing that they enjoy recipes that are a healthy choice.

Even my senior cat chows down, I think due to the small size it’s easier for her to eat.

Good nutrition

She likes it, and she's 12 years healthy and happy. That's the best thing about good quality food and plenty of love.

Cats won't touch it

I transitioned my cats over to this and they will literally go hungry instead of eating this food. Can't recommend. They actively avoid this bowl :(
