Applaws recipes are made with high quality premium meat, so phosphorus will be naturally occurring, and the levels will vary from batch to batch. Applaws adult complementary recipes contain a high level of meat or fish to give cats the natural diet their body is designed to eat, as a result they would unfortunately not be suitable for a cat that has been diagnosed with kidney problems.

I have a diabetic cat who has been eating the same diabetic diet for four years and sometimes I get the "I'm so sick of this" face from him. I'll mix just a teaspoon of this into his food and he's happy to eat again. My vet says it's safe for him to eat, but not to go overboard with it.
