[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My indoor cats absolutely love Applaws Vitality Tuna Fillet and Mackerel canned food. Blackkitty is notorius for turning his nose up at any canned food. The vet told me he really needed to add canned food to his diet for the moisture, and I have tried countless named brands and high quality canned foods that he simply would not eat. The minute I opened the ApplawsVitality tuna and mackerel can, Blackkitty came running. I think he not only loves the flavor, but he finds the texture very appealing. It is smooth like a liquid treat, easy to digest and he cleans his dish every time. I also feed this food to my outdoor family of five kitties who I TNR'd and care for. They need high quiality food that has lots of nutrition, and each of them loves this food and scarfs it down the minute I put their plates out. You can't go wrong buying this food!

If so, don’t worry—this food is a game-changer. It’s gentle on the nose but still irresistibly delicious to your feline friends. While Applaws labels it as a pâté, it’s actually more like finely shredded fish in texture. We have three cats, each with their own preferences and sensitivities, and they all love it—even the one who usually sticks strictly to dry food. They clean their plates every time, with barely a scrap left behind. An added bonus? The litter box doesn’t smell nearly as bad since using this food—a definite win for everyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love this canned food so much for my 6 cats. First off when opening it, 5 ⭐️! Smells just like a can of tuna! I have 2 cats that don’t like wet food at all, they sniffed it and then turned the other direction. My other 4 cats love wet food and they cautiously began to try it. Not much longer they were quite sure of it and were very happy. Not even 5 minutes after the 4 were done eating they started to vomit. Every single one of them. I’m not sure what upset their stomachs so much with that food but it has never happened before. Definitely will not be opening another can in my house, I’ll have my daughter bring the rest of the cans with her when she goes to her weekly shift volunteering at our local Humane Society.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feed 17 cats each night. They are all indoor only pets. Normally I provide a selection of foods they can choose from. It includes different types of fish and chicken wet food. I fed our cat family this product on two different occasions. On the first day, I included the product but also provided other foods for the cats to choose from. My two elderly, 17 year old cats took it right away. They finished their bowl and obviously liked it. I had three other cats, all over 5 years in age that ate the food, but didn't finish it before moving on to another type of food. (The food is given in the evening before we go to bed. I pick up the dishes in the morning. This way the cats can finish all the food over a period of time.) All the food, including this product were gone by morning. The second feeding occurred the next night. This time I provided the product in all 17 bowls. Again, the elderly cats took to it right away and finished it as I watched. The other cats sniffed the bowls, but for the most part went to other bowls looking for some other type of food. Two of these cats finally settled on a bowl, but didn't finish eating the whole thing. In the morning all the bowls had some food remaining in them with the exception of 3 empty bowls. I think this product would be good for older cats. Pate may also be the issue. My cats seem to prefer flaked food to smooth. As to the texture of the food, it was appealing to me. Some cat foods have an oily substance on the top which I don't particularly like. The smell was not overwhelming when I opened the can. I did notice after emptying the food into a dish that a pasty substance remained on the bottom of the can. I buy a lot of different types of wet cat food and have never noticed this with any other type of wet food. For the most part, I would keep a small quantity of this food on hand for my elderly cats. Pate may be the issue here. Since I offer a variety of types of cat food, most of my cats prefer a chewier texture of food.

Very frustrating and expensive. I tried Applaws not expecting much, but to my surprise, they scarfed it all down. I am glad they are eating wet food because I think it is healthier for them to eat both kinds.

It also had a decently pleasant smell as far as wet cat food goes. Unfortunately, my cat is a picky eater. I tried giving this to him multiple times and he wasn’t a fan. I’d say the quality is worth giving it a try but unfortunately I won’t purchase again for my cat.
