This is an excellent food with no additives but also no supplements so it can only be fed intermittently. Wilson likes fish as an occasional but my other kids arent thrilled about any fish which is fine with me since most is dirty. This clean product still wasnt very popular but if I use fish this is it. Excellent product. A bit less rice considering the price would be better. Grain isn't necessary nor is any other filler. Omit it please.

So hard to find Whitefish or Oceanfish that isn't just with tuna. This was mostly a winner for one picky eater but it would be liked even more if it had more juice. I end up squeezing it to death in a strainer to get every drop of juice and then having to throw out half of the can after drained. But I (and cat) do like the small pieces of meat.

First, let me say that I am a big fan of Applaws. So, this is very disappointing to me. I have a very picky cat and this was the one food that he absolutely loved. When I started buying it there was a considerable amount of whitefish and salmon chunks with a moderate amount of rice and broth. The last 2 times I purchased this, the cans have been primarily rice with specks of fish sprinkled in. This is a very expensive food for me to pay for rice in fish broth. I will probably purchase one more time to see if it was just the batch, but if it's the same, I will not be purchasing anymore.

I was unpleasantly surprised to see the quality of this Applaws product! I opened a few cans to find it was 50% rice and broth! I had to supplement with another brand that is reliably mostly meat protein not carbs. I have purchased Applaws brand (not this flavor) before and never saw this cheap ingredient problem. Now I am wondering if I can trust Applaws for future purchases, especially at these prices! :(

Our kits really took to Applaws when we first introduced their other options to their diets. BUT we are taken aback by the 'very cool' response to the Whitefish w/Salmon. They usually respond favorably to Salmon, so we thought this might become a fave...but they wouldn't eat this. We opened other cans to see if there was something wrong with the first few, but they still did wouldn't have any of it. We won't be buying this one again.
