Litter deodorizer

After I clean pan I sprinkle on bottom of pan. Everyday I clean yuck out, I tip pan to slide litter to one end & sprinkle the wet bare end, plus the leftover litter to refresh....works good for me. I have 4 cats, brother & sister 17yrs old, a 3yr old & an 11 mo old that I was ask to bottle feed when she was only 1 1/2 weeks old. Her & 3 siblings who didn't survive after mother was killed. Yeah! Ole softy here keep her after all that work. Lol, She's a survivor & she still scraps w/everyone, even me! She's a jumper, climber, a licker, a player, carries things(if it's too big she drags it) runner & a lover when she slows down to get a hug & a kiss. She's Nuts & Wild, but very entertaining & destructive, but I love her unconditionally.

smell is overpowering, made my clumping litter fall apart

the smell is way too strong for me; it overpowered that part of the house. as for the litter, my scoops of litter would come out and start to break up in the scoop; this never happened before so the only reasonable conclusion is the baking soda reacted to the clumping properties of my litter and broke it down

This stuff is essential

Before getting this stuff, I used to notice a slight litter odor in my place no matter what I did to try and prevent it. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this neat little addition to my litter boxes to keep my apartment smelling fresh and clean. I just sprinkle it in after cleaning out the box and add the litter then add a bit more in top. The rest takes care of itself. Highly recommended essential litter box addition.

I love Chewy!

I recommend them all the time. When I call they are very professional and helpful. The best part is I get a notice about my Autoship being ready to send- Giving me a chance to order what I need. It does seem that many times I order too much for "Just in case" I take no chances with my kids/cats. But most of all: I order some very heavy stuff and this is a great relief to have it delivered to my door.

OVERPOWERING FRAGRANCE

It smells like clean detergent however the smell is just too strong! Many of us know that cats prefer fragrance-free litter and that all those perfumes & fragrances are made more for human-convenience to mask odor. Anyway, since I already spent the money, I tried it but with just a sprinkle I was overwhelmed, I can only imagine how a cat would feel given that their sense of smell is greater than ours. I literally, had to sprinkle on the base and cover with litter. RESULT: the litter box with this product was used less than the box with their unscented litter. NOTE: The unscented litter I buy is awesome & works excellently. I just wanted to try this out of curiosity but didn’t expect the smell to be so strong. ADVICE: If your litter smells, change it daily, consider buying a better quality litter, or rather opt to add regular baking soda, you’ll have happier cats!

Still stinky...

Not impressed. Granted I have 6 kitties but 3 litter boxes. The directions say to sprinkle it over and work into litter a bit after every cleaning , so yes initially you get the very strong fragrance but it eventually fades and it doesn't continue to control and odors till next cleaning unfortunately. And since you are supposed to do it so often it goes quite fast. Just didn't help my little stinky kitties odors.

I am down to one cat right now and this helps because the whole box does not need to be changed out right now. If I do not get another cat, will get a smaller box. In limbo right now. Pretty sure I will end up getting another cat, lol.

The Best, Actually Helps

The Double Duty box is the one that works.. not their other ones that only have one cat on the picture. I have tried A TON of litter box deoderizers and fresheners ranging from sprays, to beads, to waxes, to powders. THIS is the winner, so I stocked up on 10 of them. It actually works, sprinkle some in between scooping each time, and it actually covers up odors and puts off a fresh scent for a bit. Gotta keep using it each time of course, but it does the trick for smelly business. The box is okay for sprinkling as long as it doesn't get punctured or wet in transit to you. When some of my boxes were dusty/damaged, I just dumped the powder into another empty container to sprinkle it out of.

Much too perfumey, but effective

I would prefer something that is more "organic" smelling, like pine, as this particular deodorizer is very unnaturally scented. Fortunately, my cats are not overly sensitive. That said, the stuff does absorb urine and fecal smells well, which is the primary job.

Keep the litter smelling fresh

I reply on this deodorizer to keep my cat's litter box smelling fresh. I can't go without it. When I do not use, the room I keep my litter box in always ends up smelling, regardless of the brand of cat litter I use.
